This sunlight situation is so absurd. How much baseball has been played 2 hours before sunset at Wrigley this year, but sure, let's do it now

Play one way for six months, then play totally different in the biggest games of the season.

Strange start times.
Taking 5 days to play 3 games.           Time between innings is twice as long. Literally play by rules that were never used in the regular season.

The commissioner’s office is a perpetual clownshow.

Did you watch the play? Thats what the catcher and 2B were doing.

Can you respond to Jason's post? What's to stop Busch and Hoerner from looking around confused on the next pop up with guys on first and second?

A textbook meatball

He's been meatballing the cutter to LHH's since August and he's throwing it 13% more. Wrote a whole thread on it.

Busch looked confused. Hoerner did not. He reacted to Busch not seeing it. As did the catcher.

I mean, if you guys clearly know more than anyone else on the subject, explain why Carig Counsel convened with the umpire and calmly walked away after given the explanation and said "Ok."

I'm not talking about that play. I'm talking about the next time. Busch and Hoerner just throw their hands up, catch the ball on a hop, easy double play, no?

Looking confused is not part of the rule, the idea that no one on the field could have caught the ball with ordinary effort is just not true.  Counsell not getting himself tossed arguing a misapplication of a judgement call is not proof they got it right.

nice thought but the "don't be a stinker" clause clearly states you can't do that and get away with it
