Cubs (Boyd) vs Padres (King): Wild Card Game 1, 9:00pm CST

[We Got The Whole 9]

This offense has looked atrocious over the last 50 innings or so

Sounds like a season long injury waiting to happen

A Cub who throws over 94 and misses bats? Yeah he'd hurt himself signing the contract

[Derwood]

I truly and honestly hate Nico right now

[chibears55]

Blackhawks aren't doing any better to save the late hour of sports...

They're down 1-0 and haven't even attempted a shot on goal yet,  12 minutes into game

[Irrelevant Dude]

This really is worst case scenario.  If they can ride King for 5-6-7 innings, the pen will be fully rested and ready for tomorrow.

[Tryptamine]

Oh by all means, keep letting Boyd pitch. Let's just take the possibility of  a comeback out of the equation.

[Funky-daddy]

At least we have case Keenum, fellas

I’m sure pen is warming. Bats need to get going though. Otherwise it’s irrelevant

This game is why Skubal is an absolute must have this offseason. They cannot miss on him.

It was a massive get at the deadline, but failed. The Cubs are having a great year, but they're a bunch of B level baseball players.

[soccer10k]

Yeah I'm done.

OK, Boyd officially sucks in my book.

[Tangled Up in Plaid]

[Jason Ross]

horsefeathers this horsefeathers.

[Tryptamine]

Thanks Counsell, everyone but you could see that Boyd had no business being in the game anymore.

[JBears79]

Kershaw even called that

[We Got The Whole 9]

From 1-2 to a full count hr on yet another changeup.

This is disgraceful.

[UMFan83]

Yes let’s continue to whittle our season away letting Boyd give up gopher balls. Have some urgency Craig

[Andy]

Alright, that's enough for me

[abuck1220]

take him the horsefeathers out you stupid horsefeathers idiot. you have 4 horsefeathers long guys in the horsefeathers bullpen.

[s2obed]

Apparently the announcers have a better scouting report on the Pads hitters than the Cubs staff.

[PeanutPunch33]

Should’ve gone with Gausman or Holmes
