Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm quite high on Jahdae Walker. Maybe the Bears aren't and that's why they drafted Thomas.

Listening to the guys on the Score this morning, as well as Kendall Gill, nearly unanimously say that if Boozer is the only one left at #4 that they'd take Acuff and I just don't get it. Yeah, the dude is going to score, no doubts about that, but he is horrific defensively and adding him to a team that is already bottom three in the league defensively seems like an awful idea. Also, even as someone who isn't a huge Boozer fan, his "limited upside" is getting so drastically over sold. Yeah, he's probably not a guy who is going to ever be the #1 on team with legit title aspirations, but he absolutely can be a #2 and his floor is basically solid NBA player.

So just a bit of mental masturbation not stemmed from reality, but man if the pulls got Wilson at 4, traded up to roughly 9 or 10 to grab Aday, then grabbed Austin Reeves in FA that is a team with a really high upside. Aday/Wilson/Reeves/Buzelis/Giddey would be super exciting.

If anything they should be keeping 4 and trying to trade back up into the top 10 to grab any of Wagler, Acuff, Brown, Flemings or Aday.

Prior to the 2HR so far given up by Cabrera, the Cubs already led all major league base in HR/9 at 1.48.

I'm sure you can guess which side Texas attorney general Ken Paxton is on. He's threatening legal action against the Big 12 if they refuse to schedule Texas Tech with fines in excess of 200 million dollars. It's legitimately impressive how he can be on the wrong side of every single thing.

Has a GM literally ever had as disastrous an offseason as Jed? 1. Bregman- 94 wRC+ in year 1 of a 5/175 deal 2. Shota- 4,44 ERA and on pace to give up about 40 HR 3. Tyler Austin- Likely never takes a PA as a Cub as his knee isn't recovering 4. Hunter Harvey- 4 innings of 6.75 ERA and there's a very real chance he doesn't pitch again for the Cubs since his shoulder isn't improving 5. Holy Milner- The 4.03 ERA doesn't seem so bad, until you see the 4.66 k/9 and 5.34 xERA 6. Phil Maton- 7.08 ERA 7) Edward Cabrera- 4.99 ERA with peripherals to match, when he can actually step on the field That is an unmitigated disaster of an offseason

Now and then I think about just being a minor league prospect fan. It's so much more enjoyable than the horsefeathers show that marches itself onto the field masquerading as a major league team.
