6-1 bitches! JAssad don’t give a two shits about your metricritics.

Baserunners? He’s lonely. He loves ‘em.

But, he’s also a mysterious loner, so he strands them, like the homeless girls he dates.

I thought this was the lineup and the game had already started and I didn't know it was a day game.

I don't think they can keep Alcantara on the roster. Believe he has to be sent down to make room.

Do they really need Triantos though

They probably don't super need him. But I'd guess his versatility on the bench when Ramirez starts (especially at DH) is more useful than Alcantara now that Taylor is here. There's probably more overlap there from an options standpoint.

Just a guess. But I'd be fine if it was James who went down. I prefer Kevin as a player.

Probably need to amend my first post (forgive me, it's my first day back in a school for 2 months) from "need" to "I think they will".

Not seeing the full lineup, I'm assuming that Couns is starting up the LF platoon in earnest.

Yep, I sincerely doubt Ian gets many AB against lefties the rest of the season

Don't get why the assumption is Skubal will sign with the Dodgers.  He's from Seattle, I would imagine playing for Mariners has some appeal for him.

Perhaps it's projecting a bit too far in the future, and while it's the right thing to do for the '26 campaign -  Does this hinder his desire to re-sign with the Cubs on a QO or extension offer? (akin to - $75M/3Y, and maybe mutual option for that 3rd year)

There are reports, and were before he was traded there, that Skubal wants to sign with LA, though I don't think he's confirmed that (and why would he)

Thanks. Was unaware of reports suggesting he wanted to sign with the Dodgers.

He will be a Dodger. I think that’s as sure a think as Ohtani was.

Seattle has a full rotation and needs offense waaaaaaay more than pitching.  I think that would be a major surprise.

Unless he shits the bed the rest of this season and the Dodgers decide they don’t want him, he will be a Dodger.

I think most of the "Skubal to the Dodgers long term" is people just connecting Skubal to the team who spends the most money. I could have missed it (I'm still catching up on a lot of the trades league wide because I was so in the weeds with the Cubs deadline - I've missed a lot the last three days from that standpoint), but I have yet to see anything from someone who I'd believe reporting Skubal has been eyeing the Dodgers or anything.

I get it, the team with the most money feels like they'll be a player, but I'll wait to let the dust settle on the season before I even begin speculating.
