Curry, Lebron, Draymond, Yaxel, 'Zinger, AD.......
Got some serious injury risks but this is probably their best chance to make one more run at it with Steph. This should be plenty entertaining, already can't wait for the season.
I kind of wanted Carr but have really liked the tape of Swain. He plays with an edge and physicality, have seen some Jimmy Butler comps. PWill just doesn't have that dog in him like I think Swain does.
I've seen reaction all over the place on this deal. I think Milwaukee made out pretty well; the Giannis thing has run its course. They won a championship, which is awesome for them, but haven't done anything since then and Giannis keeps getting hurt. This trade is basically a fresh start. Being a Bulls fan, I was hoping it would go terribly and continue to be drawn out, but they moved on pretty cleanly I think.
Ryen Russillo especially trashed the deal from MKE's perspective. I think Giannis is going to like living in Miami but I don't see them as a contender unless they are able to add some serious talent, particularly some shooting.
I think Boozer is going to be awesome. In fact I have seen him creeping up on draft boards; I think I'd take him over Peterson, not sure about over Wilson though.
Thank god Kendall Gill isn't making this choice.
I was listening to Bill Simmons' latest podcast and he suggested the Bulls should trade 4 and 15 to trade up with Memphis for 3. How about horsefeathers NO?! This all stems from Peterson maybe being difficult about going to Memphis, which certainly isn't Chicago's problem.
There will be lots of good options at 15; ridiculous idea.
I think Jed's job is extremely safe. He just signed a new contract, and the Cubs will win enough to stay in the Wild Cart hunt, which will be enough to keep butts in the seats.
He's got his work cut out for him, though. Swanson and Bregman could be pretty rough for the next 3-4 years and the pitching staff is going to have to basically be rebuilt after this season. At least PCA appears to be the real deal.
Happ is playing like a guy who wants a new contract. He can't be traded so maybe they should just sign him?
I agree it's time for a fire sale; maybe they can talk Happ into agreeing to go to a contender in the last year of his deal.
This stretch has been dreadful for everyone but PCA's at bats have passed the eye test for me. He's laid off a lot of junk and hit the ball hard. Not every time, but looks miles better than he did in the second half last year, even if the results haven't been there.
The June schedule is pretty favorable. I don't think this team is great and the pitching injuries have certainly added up, but they'll get it together.
This is why I was happy they got Thieneman and then the kid from Texas in the 4th. We needed DB help even before Kyler's latest injury. He's a good player when he's on the field, but that's becoming a real problem lately (also true for JJ).
They have too many guys! A 3-for1 where they get rid of some mid-firsts and a potentially overpaid #2/3 type for a cost-controlled future star like Caleb Wilson seems like a good deal for them.
Just have to make sure no other team that has a top 4 pick is aware of this though......🤔
Hell yes. Give us Jalen Williams, 12 and 17 for 4.
Giddey
Jalen Williams
Matas
Morez
Mara
They still owe us for the Caruso trade, as well. Quite frankly I'd certainly be down to trade Giddey this offseason as well. Especially if it gets us anywhere in this loaded draft.
He played a pretty good game against Michigan's monster front line. Didn't dominate but Mara, Yaxel and Morez are all obvious pros and a tough task for any frontcourt player. They might end up on the Bulls together when all is said and done. It once again shows how great this draft is and how the Bulls really can't go wrong at 4 and 15. Great work AKME! 😜
Now that the Bulls have #4 I'm most interested to see what they do at #15. I like the Baylor guard Cam Carr quite a bit. Good shooter with size and athletic as hell. If they go big Chris Cenec is a very intriguing prospect and might fit perfectly next to Boozer.
Previously I thought they might need to move up from 15 to get a possible impact guy but now I think they can stay where they are. This draft is deep as hell and I love the situation the Bulls are in.
IIRC Essengue was a 6'7 or 6'8 SF last year so that would indeed be a crazy growth spurt. I'm not sure what his ceiling is but it's certainly higher at 7'0 (har har).
With the way this draft is shaking out I could see the Bulls bringing back either Coby or Ayo. Giddey is only kind of a guard and then you have Tre Jones and Rob Dilly. I think there's definitely a need for another guard, and I want no part of the guys they brought in last year (Sexton, Simons, Ivey, etc.)
Still so psyched they moved up to 4. This draft has a clear top-4 but everyone will have a different order. Plus the 15 pick in this draft is awesome too.
Hopefully our best pass rusher, Kyler Gordon, is healthy next season.
It is important to have good ends of course, but the Bears D seemed like it was performing best last year when Allen was bringing blitzes from unusual locations.
How likely do we think it is that they sign one of the FA DE I've seen bandied about (Bosa, Cam Jordan, etc.)? Do they even have the money to do that?
Sweat and Booker is a decent start but I'm not counting on Motivated Dayo and Shemar for too much as they're both coming off big injuries. Would love to add one more established guy.
