  1. Heh, was just going to ask if he can pick up some bullpen work too.
  2. My office, including me, will be in attendance at the game tonight. Despite living downtown Chicago I haven't been to a game all year. Pretty excited; hopefully we get a big W and Pete locks down 40/40.
  3. Everyone just needs to pretend like they've never heard of Lambeau being referred to as "The Frozen Tundra". Epicbaconsauce rage bait right there folks.
  4. Not anymore. The Bears have snatched their chain in more ways than one.
  5. The Chicago forecast has rain in it every day from tomorrow until the game. There could be some sloppy conditions to deal with. Good thing we can run the horsefeathers out of the ball, and I thought the D played alright against the run in Carolina. I saw some of Minnesota week 1 and Carson was playing on a knife's edge a bit. Given that the game will be outside and in possibly imperfect conditions, I think the Bears roll.
  6. The Frozen Tundra. Bleak, hopelessness for whomever encounters it.
  7. Do we not have any living pitchers in the minors? I'm tired of watching these bums blow every game.
  8. I'm tired of all the regression and defensive consternation. I hope we kick the horsefeathers out of these pretenders and get the season started right.
  9. Hopefully. I don't know if his nephew is big into sports, but it would have surely been a big night for everyone on that campus.
  10. People hate him because they know they would love it if he was on their team. The most old school baseball fan would love him and consider him a throwback if they played for their teams. It's pure jealousy.
  11. I was at my buddy's place for the WMU-UM game and his oldest nephew is a freshman at WMU. We were just about to text him congrats and to party hard after the game but got hung up by the 1 second double ending. What a brutal loss. Those kids were going to have a night they would never forget.
  12. Why isn't Rome part of the Chicago Rat Pack? We need to expand this group for maximum impact.
  13. People love a good bait and switch. Nobody cares about his raggedy ass unless he finds a way to keep the Bears in Chicago.
  14. I want the Lakefront Stadium as well. horsefeathers Indiana and horsefeathers Arlington Heights. Hopefully Brando has something slick up his sleave (he won't).
  15. I don't doubt you when you say it'll be dumb, but has KW really been playing him like a fiddle? It seems like Warren doesn't know what he is doing and changes direction all the time.
  16. What do we think Brandon Johnson's "special announcement" is after the first bears game? Do we think it is stadium related?
  17. Amazing how Kawhi basically gets off unscathed while the hammer gets dropped on Ballmer and LA. Feel bad for the Clips fans and my guy Keaton Wagler. They are totally horsefeathered.
  18. Man the NFC is such a meat grinder. Even teams way down the list like NYG, Minn, Carolina and New Orleans could be real tough.
  19. I see the dead cap hit, but couldn't they sue for breach of contract? Just be a man and retire. Lordy!
  20. I agree with the analysis here, but doesn't Kyler's contract kick in this season? He was a second round pick so has already made some money, but I wonder how this would work with his new deal. Is he trying to sit out while being "injured" so he can get paid for the season and then quit? It really doesn't seem like he's making a good faith effort on anything (a la Nate Davis) so I wouldn't be opposed to the team at least making it hard on him to collect any of the contract.
  21. I agree, so you'd think the Dodgers would protect him and keep him on the IR as long as necessary. Instead, they made a big show about sitting him at home games a while back because it was messing with his psyche. Why they would admit that is beyond me. Just give him a phantom injury and let him go away for a while. Just a strange and costly situation that I'm thrilled isn't our problem anymore.
  22. Conforto has been a solid bench bat. What do we think happened to Tucker? He was terrific last year before the ASB. We now have almost a season and a half of him being just an all-around ****** player. I doubt it's injury or age, can it all just be dispassion for the game? He must think he plays slot corner for the Bears or something 🤪 Either way it's a godsend he went into the crapper last year and we didn't sign him. Before the ASB I would have totally been in favor of giving him 8-10 years and huge money. What a nightmare that would have been.
  23. I'm just so glad Bregman turned it around so considerably. After Heyward and a few others, I was worried he'd be another big money signing and turn out to suck. Yu Darvish basically closed the Ricketts' wallet for a long time. Hopefully that means they can keep Seiya after this year as well.
  24. Kyler really screwing the team over with his "I don't want to play football" BS. Should have never signed that contract; it really has the Bears over a barrel. Seems like we have to account for one guy every year lose the will to play football or even live, really. I wonder what Nate Davis is up to today 🤔
  25. I disagree; Stacey will be very hard to replace. I'd rather they take it slow and try people out before making a permanent hire.
