  1. I don't know if they are lazy but the lack of rim protection was on full display again last night. Not having our best perimeter defender (Okoro) didn't help either. I hope Zach Collins can get back soon and help but I don't think it will change much. So frustrating to have such a hole in the roster be ignored for so long. This has been a problem forever.......
  2. Same same. I actually feel much more confident in the Bears taking care of business.
  3. I didn't watch the Dallas/Eagles game but I read Philly was up 21-0 and lost 24-21? Yikes. Both of these teams are 8-3 but the vibes couldn't be more different. Hopefully we get some guys back from injury.
  4. Queen is looking good but he's not really skilled at defending the rim, where the Bulls basically rank DFL. I am still good with the Noa pick but surprised they didn't take a big at that spot. Even if it wasn't Queen, there were bigs to be had. Hopefully they can address their putrid interior defense soon.
  5. Cleveland is low-key one of the tougher games left on the schedule IMO. If they get decent QB play out of Sanders they could be a problem. We all know what Garrett can do; they have played some good teams very tough this year.
  6. Yeah, gotta clean up on the dregs here. 8-6 is a solid record considering who they've played so far; I was anticipating something worse during that stretch before the season, despite being optimistic about their chances overall. Following the NBA is a lot more fun when the Bulls are at least semi-relevant so I hope they can take advantage.
  7. Go Bears. Really hate that old man Rodgers has one more chance to stick it to the Bears. This would be such a nice win.
  8. I think people are shorting Coby and especially Giddey in terms of how good they could be. Giddey regularly puts up Jokic & Jokic-lite stat lines, is only 23 and on a great contract. They badly need an athletic big who can protect the paint, but there are some nice pieces in place and I still think they can be the Pacers of last year.
  9. I don't think it's necessarily what he "wanted", but I still like this team and think they could be feisty. They have MASSIVE rim protection and paint issues, though. How they use the massive amount of cap space they're about to have will define the Giddey window, though. You've got a budding star on a great contract, with some nice supporting pieces around him. Hopefully they are able to retain Coby/Ayo and address their big man issues as well. Fortunately, I think they can be patient with Dallas if they're looking to unload Davis (which they should, he'll be a black cloud reminder of Luka until he's gone). If they can get him for something like Vuc, PWill, Carter and picks you do it. Not many teams can even afford Davis so the Bulls have all the leverage in this potential deal. Even if it's not Davis, the Bulls need to seriously address the paint situation. Hopefully Collins can help some when he gets back. They need to reanimate 2005ish Tyson Chandler.
  10. I hope Rodgers isn't healthy enough to play on Sunday. I know he's been shaky lately, and this could be an opportunity to basically end his career like they did with Favre, but I'll always be scared of him coming to Soldier Field and leaving with a W. Even though it would be thoroughly satisfying to beat him on his way out, I'd rather take my chances with the backup who doesn't own us.
  11. Feels like a must-win if we want to make the 'yoffs. Vikings have looked like butt with JJ at the helm, and the other JJ doesn't seem like he's playing hard half the time. I hope the offense looks better indoors. Would be nice to get an early lead and take the crowd out of the game.
  12. I love Caleb Williams. That is all.
  13. I don't think the Giddey situation is a big deal, but people are free to think however they want. I WILL push back on the Bulls being depressing, though. Giddey is become a star on a great contract and this team is deep with overlapping skill sets all day, play in the East and have a ton of looming cap space. I don't think they even need to go out and get a "star" anymore, they might have 3-4 of them (stars, not superstars on the level of Giannis, Luka, etc.). Right now they have 11-12 good nba players and should be able to keep who they want after the season when Vuc, Huerter, Collins, Ayo, Coby and Carter's contracts expire. Buzelis looks awesome and they got lucky in that draft he fell to them, and I'm high on Essengue who we probably won't see much this year but looked good in the summer league and preseason. They could be a better version of what Indiana put together last year. Plus they're in the East. I love the Bulls so I'm always tuned in to what they're doing, but I don't think this is a fluke and it might be time to get back on the bandwagon.
  14. I did not have a Vuc revitalization season on my bingo card. He's playing great and while he still can't really defend the rim, fits perfectly on this team as a Stretch 5. He's like Jokic out there! This is fun and I think sustainable. I can't wait to see it when Coby and Collins come back. They have like 11-12 quality NBA players. I think they have enough cap space to bring everyone back if they want, too.
  15. Yeah, this is a must-win if the Bears want to do anything this season. Cincy's defense is an abomination, would love to see the offense put up big points on these guys.
  16. Giddy, Coby, Matas, Ayo, Tre makes 5 stars, plus depth, plus future star Noa Essengue.
  17. After not getting Bears action for what felt like a month, I'm ready for this game right now. Last night was fun, and not just because I decided to get randomly drunk for it. Happy Win with a Hangover Tuesday!
  18. After this weekend I needed this. Getting hosed all night but managed to find a way to get it done. My confidence in Caleb and Ben Johnson is growing by leaps and bounds. We have a coach AND a quarterback.
  19. I expect a typically sleepy offseason. Unfortunately I think making Game 5 of the Division series will be the high-water mark for the Cubs for a while. We won't be replacing Tucker and the production and lineup protection he offered in the first half. Sad offense plus pretty good pitching will be enough to pursue a wild card spot in this division. Not expecting much more than some changes on the fringes and Shota's option being picked up.
  20. I have no idea what Craig is going to do. But it feels like we've got some mojo back so that is great. But I'm glad our Game 5 isn't until tomorrow night and I can enjoy the other Game 5 tonight without any jitters. Amazing night of ball last night. Wrigley rocking and that unfortunate ending in LA. Was hoping that series would go to Game 5 as well.
  21. Last night was fun, the crowd bullied FREDDY into giving up that home run from Happ. Wrigley is simply the best. All hands on deck, LETS horsefeathers GOOOOOOO!
  22. I wonder what a Nico extension would look like. He's had a great year and I think his contract is up after next year.
  23. Nothing new here, I'm just mad about the Boyd decision for Game 1, which begat Shota for Game 2. They clearly should have been saving Shota for Wrigley, the lakeside wind is the only thing possible that can keep the great Andrew Vaughn at bay. Most annoying successful season ever, it's been like a root canal since the ASB. I hope Tucker likes NY (I'm pretty much fine not breaking the bank for him, I think this being the Cubs it would end up being a huge disaster).
  24. Cubs/Phillies NLCS would go so hard. Would definitely be shitting my pants every time Schwarber is at the plate.
