  1. I saw a hype video for the LT for Texas (I think he won the Outland) and it was enough for me to want the Bears to draft him. No more Braxton and I have little hope for Kiran.
  2. Fire Eberflus into the sun. I don't know a coach who is better at ripping defeat out of the jaws of victory.
  3. I would love to know how they would be faring if Daniels went #1 and Williams 2. Eberflus was retained so quickly after last season that I kind of forgot he's a bad coach (pretty good D Coordinator). Between Eberflus/Waldron buffoonery and the OL being bad, it really hasn't mattered that he has some good targets. It really sucks the Bears don't fire coaches during the season. I could see this thing getting *a lot* uglier as it goes along. These guys quit yesterday.
  4. I love Ayo Dosunmu. That is all.
  5. I also got pretty drunk for this game so my observations are likely spotty but I actually though CW played better this week. Unfortunately the OL was worse and I wasn't sure that would be possible. However, the Texans are a good team and the Bears could have won that game. Next stretch of games is pretty reasonable. Hopefully it can help get the O on track.
  6. Really tough loss last night. Maybe the Cubs will get lucky in this matchup again.
  7. Their sister was supposed to be getting married today? Fvcking awful. Drunk driving is a plague but I think many who do it actually try to drive carefully as to not get caught? Sounds like this guy just got impatient and tried to pass on the right. Hopefully he never experiences freedom again.
  8. I like the later game. Will pair well with my Friday balcony beers.
  9. I will be at this game tonight. I don't think I've been to a Cubs game since 2017. Looking forward to seeing what Ricketty has done with the place.
  10. Even though I was always a Cubs fan Julio Franco was my favorite player growing up. I just loved the batting stance, it was big for me when he won AS MVP at Wrigley in 1990. DLee, Aramis, Rizzo and Javy have been the favorites since then.
  11. Happ has a no-trade clause. He's not going anywhere.
  12. It sucks that I'm starting to feel this way; when at the same time Caleb Williams and Drake Maye aren't really doing themselves any favors either. It's really not good.
  13. I've been thinking the same thing. Moore has been awesome but besides Kmet nobody has been even remotely a threat catching the ball. Hopefully someone can step up and provide some balance. Moore will definitely be getting the bulk of the attention so there is an opportunity there.
  14. That Braves/Phillies ending last night was incredible. I wouldn't say I'm rooting for Philly but I love watching their home playoffs games with that insane crowd and fun players. Great to finally get some DRAMA in these playoffs too. Hopefully we get another good one tonight.
  15. Good point, this draft seems like it has some real blue chippers beyond Williams and MHJ would be awesome. Hopefully it works out for us and we get an unequivocal answer on Fields being the guy by the end of the season. Bears upcoming schedule is as friendly as you could ask for.
  16. JF1 and DJ2 have played so well this week I actually missed watching the Bears on Sunday. Hopefully the start of something special. Would be unbelievable if JF is good enough to pass on drafting a QB this year. Just tons of capital to work with. Also the Bears won't have to worry about Justin Jefferson this week against the Vikes. So much easier to root for wins with that Carolina pick looking more and more juicy. There will be an absolute bidding war for the overall first pick.
  17. Man it feels good to finally get a W; happy for the guys and Fields especially. All it took was getting Claypool off this team! Little worried about Mooney's continued invisibility. Someone other than DJ Moore is going to have to step up and make some plays for this offense to continue to put points on the board. Great win, although I was damn nervous for much of that second half they were going to blow it. Hopefully we can get the RBs healthy on the mini-bye. I like Roshon Johnson but I'm afraid he's going to continue to concuss himself the way he seeks contact with the ball. Love the angry running though.
  18. If the Bears lose tonight and he's not fired by tomorrow morning, my guess is they give him the rest of the season. You could argue his coaching will put us in the proverbial catbird seat in the draft, which is really all we have going for us right now.
  19. NM. Duplicate post.
  20. I'm having a hard time coming up with positives going forward. I don't trust Jed or Ricketts to do what it will truly take to make this a contender. There just aren't a lot of impact FA available and this team has so many holes to fill. I was hoping for a surprise WC birth because I don't see this as building towards something bigger. They'll probably cobble together enough for a team that will probably be in the wild card hunt but that shouldn't be good enough.
  21. Snakes up 2-0 on the White Sox already. I'm so depressed, I really thought I was going to get Cubs playoff baseball this fall.
  22. Good think Taillon doesn't like giving up massive home runs. Otherwise I might be worried about the Cubs ability to compete in this matchup against the Dongcrushers.
