    I don't live in the area anymore and don't get Marquee but Len was a mercenary just like everyone else. I remember him doing a nationally televised cubs game and had to get excited for any big play for or against the Cobs. Surprised he didn't end up going to the Brew Crew. i know he was just a mercenary too, but the reason he didn't act excited for good cubs plays during nationally televised games was because he had to remain impartial. all announcers do that. Oh for sure, I just don't think he had any attachment to the team outside of being an employee.

    I'll admit to liking the new format (as long as they don't use it in the playoffs and world series). I think it's fun. 9 innings is plenty of time to determine the best team in a regular season game. WRAP IT UP after that please.

    The Cubs paid a huge ransom for Jose fricking Quintana. Why wouldn’t we get HAUL for Yu Darvish?

    I still had hope schwarber would become a consistent .900+ ops type player. Maybe a fresh start will help him achieve that. Given that ole ricketty will just pocket this money gives me great sadness. Not really because of this decision but the foreseeable future for the Cubs seems so bleak.

    I don’t think it’s an asterisk from the pandemic in general but this turner thing sounds like it has legs. Tested positive yesterday and today and the dodgers just forced him into the game? Wtf? The Rays should protest. Manfred will probably just ignore it. Now it’s an asterisk championship!

    It’s not over but the dodgers are in trouble. What an epic fake rally, if I was a big dodger fan I would be so frustrated! As a cubs fan who lived the dream I have to say this situation is fairly amusing. The giants won 3 and didn’t have half the talent these last few dodger team have.
