They can’t even fire a coach correctly

I know but, at least, they fired him.  I really believe McCaskey was not going to pull the trigger, that's why Eberflus was allowed to go on, business as usual, until Poles got to him.

I’m not gonna get too sidetracked that they let him speak to the media before firing him. They fired him, thank god. Now you can start your search for the best offensive coach candidate possible for next year.

next year had better be playoffs or Poles goes too, sorry to say

My only concern here is that Thomas Brown goes like 3-2 and the Bears hire him without even having a coaching search.  Nothing against Thomas Brown and I'm open to him as a candidate but they have a very attractive situation for a top HC to come into.  They should have their pick of the litter.

I hate everything about this idea. Paring a young guy with a vet counterpart is half measures BS. That’s how Pace got Fox. Hire the right guy and have him assemble a staff. And don’t let that Rex Ryan anywhere near the building.

Apparently no further media availability today

To me, the above says Warren/Poles had to convince McCaskey that letting go of Eberflus was the correct move.  If true, good on them.

I don’t need to hear from Brisker anymore.

I agree. I know he wants to be out there if it wasn’t for the concussions, but when he’s missed much time as he has and hurt the team year after year, you really shouldn’t be saying anything.

I am not open to Thomas Brown as a candidate

When you think about it, it's very fortunate the way yesterday' game ended, Eberflus in his typical dick-less fashion, was going for the tie.  Just consider, had the Bears tied the game, with a probability of 1, Eberflus' defense would have blown it in OT and we'd be talking about another defensive breakdown.  While Eberflus remained HC.

Brown has definitely made himself a desirable OC this offseason,  but I am not even considering him for HC unless Caleb is emphatically telling them this is the guy who can make me the best I can be.

Me neither, that's why I don't want see him go 3-2 or win any games.  McCaskey' a gullible idiot who'd be convinced they found their next HC should such a thing transpire.

If he was going for the tie, he would have kneeled it out when they got to the 25.
