My day today:
1) Read up on, and watch videos of, last night's win.
2) A well deserved-nap after a very long night/morning.
3) Watch a little NFL while looking up Green Bay misery porn.
It's a great day to be a Bears fan!!!!!!
I thought a playoff system was going to "take the politics out of the process." It's a complete joke. I realize there is always going to be a team that feels left out, but to have it happen so that three loss Alabama can get in makes the process worthless.
IF (and it's a really big IF) the Bears can turn things around... the third quarter will be the point in time it happened. Got a stop of the Cowboys coming out of the second half and then went on a nine-plus minute drive culminating in a touchdown pass.
Fingers crossed!
Interesting stat on walk rates...
But where can I fine % of walks who eventually come around to score? Anecdotally... seems like the percentage is really high for the Cubs.
Maybe this needs its own thread, but...
2016 vs. 2025... which has been more fun?
Obviously the 2016 expectations were through the roof after the 2015 season. And of course... they delivered!
But I can't help but think I'm having more fun with the 2025 team because:
1) The expectations were much lower going into this season than 2016. It's bonus fun!
2) This team looks like they're having so much fun with their success (not that the 2016 team didn't have fun...
they just expected to win. The 2025 Cubs are just enjoying this new found success).
3) Like 2016... there are a lot of guys you just want to root for.
Maybe it's just me... but the vibe is different. I'm just riding the wave of success this 2025 team is bringing a little more than 2016.
Am I crazy? (Wait... don't answer that.)
(edited a typo)
Gotta love the fact that the Brewers and Cardinals have played their best baseball of the season to date and have actually lost a little ground in the standings.
