I think he was more acknowledging the boos (so to speak) than getting testy with the fans, at least from what I saw.

i'll defend z and say that his gestures seemed to be saying "you're right, i deserved to be booed"

Hrmm....booing him at this time? Not sure that's the right thing to do.

It's absolutely the right thing to do. He sucked today and there's no other way to say it.

Its not even just today.Hes sucked for all but 2 months of this season, he shouldnt even be paying attention to the boos by pointing saying hes hearing them. Screw him

hopefully z will punch a locker and break his hand and pay back 90 million

Maybe he can donate half of this year's salary so some needy kids can benefit from his pathetic pitching.

Barrett is on the DL right now, maybe the Padres would let him come visit the clubhouse and shove Zambrano again. Seemed to work the last time.

That is the way I look at it too.

That was my interpretation as well.

Yeah that's the impression I got when he was pointing towards his head...but I thought the untucking of the shirt while still on the field came off as really unprofessional.

Rot in hell, Z. Rather than pointing to the sky when you walk off the mound, point to the ground.

Rot in Hell? That's a little harsh.

Yeah, it probably is.

But the big baby needs to pull his head out of his ass, grow up, and control his damn emotions during the game. It's not that hard to do. He's supposed to be the ace of this staff and just signed a $90M contract. It's September and the Cubs are in the pennant race and, over the last month, he hasn't done a single thing to help the Cubs' chances.

Meeting the gf's parents tonight and trying to watch the game and get the place ready. I think it's about time to go ahead and give up on this one. Good game, Z. See you guys tomorrow.
