I think I'd rather take my chances with the Mets compared to SD or ARZ.

But for that to happen the wildcard would have to come out of the Eastern division, with the Mets winning the division.

And the Cubs have to actually make it, of course.

I dont want to face AZ either though, it really is a case of 2 evils. If I remember right, the Cubs have never won a series against AZ.

Yeah, that doesn't come close to passing the smell test.

Haven't won one since '03, when they won both. Won 1 apiece from '99-'01. Won 2 in '98.

Yea I remembered hearing they hadnt won 1 since something but I couldnt remember how long it had been.

Mets are getting Pedro back now, though. Granted, he may not be able to go much more than 5 or 6 innings, but I bet they stretch him out before the playoffs to do some damage.

I would seriously love to know how many times in the past 3-4 years that the Cubs have had the bases loaded with nobody out and failed to score.

brain fart from Soto there

I'm hoping that he thought it was a linedrive which would then say he did the right thing. If he saw it was a grounder than he was wrong but my thinking is that he was up the line, saw the ball in the air and went back, realized it was a grounder and then ran.
