Murton is a terrible RF. There's absolutely no denying that.

jeez.

I like what he does at the plate, for the most part, and his defense in LF is serviceable. But he's a butcher in RF. He looks like a chicken with its head cut off out there.

lf and rf are the same.

Maybe on your computer they are, but not in real life.

by the way...as you know, i don't watch the games. my computer told me that your ace didn't pitch very well today, but i wanted to get an eyewitness account...how'd he look?

Awful.

Pretty nifty how I can admit when my favorite pitcher has a bad outing, isn't it?

hill had a bad outing yesterday. how's that?

he's still better than z.

That is flat-out not true.

please explain the difference between catching a fly ball in rf and in lf.

Catching a ball might be the same, but when it comes to getting a read on a ball it's completely different. Add the sun at Wrigley, plus wind, and you're talking about 2 different positions. Have you ever played baseball?

Amazing!

No he's not. But I'm not surprised that a person who actually thinks that playing RF and LF is the same would think that way.

Ok all these changes, and is Aram still in the game? I didnt hear them say Aram was out, and if hes not that is ignorant.

its amazing the lengths some people will go through to defend Murton. I am a fan of his but some people need to ease off his crotch a little.

How about we drop it? Consider this your friendly warning before we see multiple suspensions.

Well, the angle of the ball coming off of the bat for one. It is completely different. Not to sound all "I've done it so I would know", but I played both positions in college and it is just different.

Sure, catching a fly ball is the same. but everything that happens before that, your positioning, route, angle recognition is different.

I might add that RF is more difficult to play, especially in Wrigley. Which makes Matt Murton looks even worse when he's out there.

Its also amazing the lengths some people will go through to criticize Murton.

It would probably take more than a few to actually make the game threads an enjoyable experience once again...

I think Ive found one thing we can ALL agree on...That was a brutal rendition of Take Me Out to the Game.

Pretty much sums up the Cubs day.

Yea he was pretty lost just like Z

Bad day for the Cubs, life goes on.

Zambrano needs to break out of this funk that he is in. Even if the Cubs make the postseason, Zambrano needs to be on his game in order for them to have a chance. Your looking at most likely either SD or AZ in the 1st round. SD has Peavy and Young. AZ has Webb. The Cubs need Zambrano!
