  1. yep, this. if you roll back the same team for the fourth year in a row next year...lol.
  2. the rebuilding years were more fun to watch than this garbage.
  3. the best thing that can happen to this organization this year is for the attendance to continue to dwindle. finally, Jerry & his kid might actually be forced to be accountable for this garbage.
  4. the white ones from two years ago were great -- i wish they would have just adopted those as their regular white jersey. last year's were good too. these aren't it.
  5. hey, they've been fun and good lately! i still don't trust the defense, but the offense & goaltending have been obviously excellent in this run.
  6. yep. not only was it bad enough that he was brought in as the replacement for Hoiberg initially, but they doubled and tripled down on him by giving him the entire remaining part of the season last year AND giving him an extension. this franchise sucks. For a normal franchise I could totally see another week or two of this resulting in ownership cleaning house, but I don't think I'll ever see an end to GarPax coming. I'm sure it will happen someday, but I won't see it coming. i think Gar will eventually be a fall guy, but nothing will truly change until Pax is gone too. and unfortunately, i don't see that coming for a long time, unless Pax decides he's finally had enough.

  8. nah they'll win in the 40's and make the playoffs by a fairly comfortable margin seasons don't start with the last year as some sort of baseline. i'm really not seeing this, especially with coach Meatball running things.
  9. Not sure how long Colliton's "defensive system" gets replaced by something better. Last season, the hope was that a full training camp would help the veterans adjust. Can anyone explain how Colliton's "system" is different than a pick up game played on a frozen pond in Muck Jack, Saskatchewan? i think he's kind of handcuffed with the obvious deficiency they have to work with as far as the players go. no matter what system they use, it's not going to be very good. i know it's only been two games, but having a defense as bad as this one isn't exactly a recipe to making the playoffs.
  10. he still has her songs as his walkup songs and still wears a wedding ring, so who knows wtf he's thinking?
  11. even if he needs surgery, he should still be ready for ST.
  12. me too, whoops.
  13. i'm totally good with firing Jed after this year too.
  14. Albert is our best CF, but he can't hit worth a damn vs RHP. Are you under the impression that he hits any better vs LHP? Almora vs. RHP: .258/.288/.452 Almora vs. LHP: .210/.248/.280 yeah, it sure feels like a lot of people still assume Almora is decent against LHP's when he's clearly inept at the plate no matter who he's facing.
  15. are we sure Russell can read?
  16. i think they're still good at identifying forward talent -- but what defenseman has Bowman found over the last handful of years?
  17. yeah, my exact reaction too. interesting strategy to trade one of the actual young, promising defenseman (on a team that doesn't have many) for a forward.
  18. i'll bite on this. if you told me the end goal of the tank years was to get right back to the 6-8 spot in the East (which is where they were before they blew the whole thing up), that would've been pretty unacceptable. i like Lauri and i think White should be good (not overly huge on WCJ, but he's a decent piece too), but to me, it seems like 99% of GM's would've been fired for whatever the hell this rebuild ended up being. but, you know, Jerry. 6 to 8 seed with what should still be one of the youngest teams in the league is a little different than 6 to 8 seed with one of the oldest. Also, hopefully that's not the end goal. Whether by consolidation trade or opening up a max slot after OPJs contract is up, they need to still ascend past 6 to 8 for it to be a success, but 3 offseasons to build a core and another 3 or so to ascend (or finalize) would be reasonable timeframe if they could pull it off. i'm still annoyed about the OPJ deal though -- i would've preferred to just let Portis and Jabari walk in free agency and take your chances to try to nab a max guy. obviously it's doubtful that would've happened, but if they could've put themselves in position for someone like Kemba or Russell, i'd much rather have had that chance than just rolling with OPJ for the next couple of years. but yeah, ideally Lauri continues to ascend (and stays healthy) and the same with LaVine, WCJ, and White. i just look at the East right now though and don't really see a path for them to be a legit contender anytime soon, even if those guys do continue to improve, or at least look the part in White's case.

  20. can someone smarter than me explain why this team decided to include Chatwood as part of a six man rotation, when they can just keep the normal five man rotation with Alzolay as the fifth starter? punting a game every week with this idiot starting doesn't seem ideal to me.
  21. Every Game Matters...as they trot out whatever this lineup is.
  22. I was thinking the same thing earlier today -- when's the last time the NBA has been this wide open? Probably the lockout year after 98?
  23. i saw that same song is also Will Smith's entrance song...ugh.
  24. yeah, i'm under the assumption that Morrow is never pitching again. i'm all for acquiring Smith or Doolittle -- set it up Cishek, Strop, Smith/Doolittle, Kimbrel.
