  1. Well this is even better. I've theorized for a while that there is something fundamentally broken with the way the Cubs game plan / strategize for PAs with RISP.
  2. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/splits-leaderboards?splitArr=21,22,23,59&splitArrPitch=&autoPt=false&splitTeams=false&statType=team&statgroup=2&startDate=2026-03-01&endDate=2026-11-01&players=&filter=&groupBy=season&wxTemperature=&wxPressure=&wxAirDensity=&wxElevation=&wxWindSpeed=&position=B&sort=15,1 1st: MIL: 192 PA, slashing .340/.443/.610 - wRC+ 186 28th: CHC: 192 PA, slashing .194/.308/.279 - wRC+ 64 Terrible.
  3. Huh. Can't find anything for 4th and 5th, but apparently they are 1 (MIL) and 2 for fewest K's with the bases empty. Fun fact, the Cubs do have the most strikeouts with RISP. So that's great. (They do have the most AB).
  4. According to Fangraphs they're 13th with 381. Unless you're talking pitching, then they're 13th, with 382. Obviously this is prior to this game.
  5. Bad luck on a crappy throw that just happened to pull the catcher to the right spot.
  6. Are you just assuming the Cardinals and Pirates are going to win?
  7. On April 13th, the Cubs were 7-9, in last in the central, 3 games back from the Pirates. They are now 25-12, in first in the central with a 3.5 game lead (5.5 games ahead of the Pirates).
  8. I think once he looks around he loses his chance to challenge. Doesn't matter WALK off win.
  9. The Habs beat the Lightening 2-1 with only 9 shots on goal.
