I'm also looking forward to numerous post-game press conferences in which Noah will be placed in front of a live microphone. After the NCAA National Championship this year, his comedy potential is off the scale.

I like Hawes more than Noah as well. Different looks at times as far as having a post man with his skills to take advantage of various match-ups when Wallace needs a rest or is injured.

While Hawes will never command a double team down low someone with his passing skills is underappreciated in regards to a C.

So who did you guys want instead?

I dont know, but I really dont want to have to see him and his freaking act for 81 games a year. I hate the fact that his offense is lacking greatly also.

I think he's a better offensive player than what he has shown thus far because of playing on such a strong team with other studs like Brewer and Horford.

And believe me, I'm a UCLA alum. I can't stand what he did and said at the championship game two years ago and I hate the guy. But he's the best player available and a great pick.

I dunno, I just think a top 10 pick should be more of a "star" player potential. I dont think Noah will be anywhere near a star in the NBA.

Noah has "star" potential but no one else left on the board (besides Julian Wright) has that high a potential.

Just got a thought. You think this trade could set up Pax to trade Thomas? Thomas, Gordon, others for Kobe or another star? There's gotta be something to this.

You call him comedy potential, I call him annoying as hell lol. I dont know if I can take his act for 81 games. I sure hope Ben W knocks him down a level or so, and tells him to shut his damn mouth, and just play the game.

Yeah, he will provide plenty of embarrassing moments for the organization for years to come. I like the "intangibles" he brings to the table.

I dont see the "star" potential at all in Noah. I think he will be lucky to average 15 points a game in his NBA career.

Hawes is a fine player, meets a need and would be a good role player. The concerns about his rebounding and athleticism are warranted, though and that's why I'd lean towards Noah.

I think Pax took him as a marketing ploy. Now they can sell Wallace fros and Noah fros.

Hell the way he looked tonight they can market Bozo outfits

I look at it as "the next Brad Miller" vs. "the next Ben Wallace". I think Noah actually makes someone like Wallace expendable, and usable as a piece in a trade to bring in a big money player.

Couldn't disagree more...he is much more likely to bust than to ever be a star. Take away the crazy hair, the great supporting cast he had (he was actually part of the supporting cast to Horford/Brewer), the famous parents and the bombastic personality and you're left with an above-average, undersized non-scoring tweener.

Most overrated player in the draft.

Noah probably does make Wallace expendable, but I doubt Wallace has much trade value. In fact, he probably has negative trade value with how much money he makes and declining skills.

Noah will never be able to muscle up on D like Ben Wallace. Noah will get ran over down low in the NBA

Heh. That's exactly what I see when I look at Hawes also.

How is Noah undersized? 7 feet not tall enough? 225 not built enough?

He's far too thin to muscle up with the true centers and power forwards in the league and his offensive game is too weak to play the 3.

Completely agree. To compare him to Ben W is a joke. Noahs body is nowhere near Ben W.

Certainly he has bust potential, but you are looking past his ceiling.
