  1. Yeah. Was rooting for Mexico just to beat Yadi. Assad dealing was fun too.
  2. Never 4get 2021-22 first half Bulls season. Chi Slama Jama.
  3. Still hoping for Eluemunor (RT) or Seumalo for LG, LT Jones LG Seumalo or Jenkins C Whitehair RG Davis RT Jenkins or Eluemunor Would be a big improvement and give us more flexibility with 9. Seems likely Jenkins will have to move to RT or LG and push Whitehair to C or cut.
  4. Meh. Happy we aren’t paying 3/18 for an average running back on a 2nd contract.
  5. Walker had 16 QB hits last year. Entire bears defense had 20. It’s an upgrade. And there’s more money/draft picks still to allocate to the line. That said, I don’t love spending big on offball LBs. We’ll see.
  6. I don't think that is a fair comparison. For the players, it's great, but at some point it likely becomes a negative for the fans if games are consistently clocking in shorter than any other major sport. And this isn't really our concern, but what does it do to advertising revenue when there is 30-45 minutes less of live game content each night? I guess we'll see how it plays out over time. I still like it for the most part, but I have some concerns with how significantly the games are being shortened. They’re not shortening the time in between innings are they? If not then the commercials wouldn’t change. This was my thought as well. All of this is great. My live in-person game watching experience may be slightly worse, but I’m rarely going to games anymore, and I guess it might save me $20-$30 in beer.
  7. LOVE the new rules/pace. Just got to watch Wesneski mow down 12 straight batters in like 35 minutes.
  8. the issue with that analogy is that players are rarely traded for 1st rd picks. That being said, I do think Poles liked Moore. He's 25, has 3 1000 yard seasons already. I can certainly see why Moore could tip the scales. its like 2.5 1st rd picks Diggs, AJ Brown, Tyreek, Hollywood Brown, Watson, Stafford, Wilson, Jamal Adams, Buckner, Ramsay, Bradley Chubb, Minkah Fitzpatrick, OBJ all come to mind from recent years. DJM is better than Hollywood and Hollywood fetched a first and a 4th. I think there were rumors that the Panthers wanted 2 firsts for DJM at the trade deadline.
  9. No way Houston gives up a future 1st. I don't think the Colts do either unless they get ahead of Houston. I could see Indy trading (2) 1sts to get to #2, all it would take is rumors of an AZ trade out of #3, and those are already swirling Stroud and Richardson impressing is good news for our trade down to 4, but potentially bad news for our trade of 1>2. Really need Bryce Young to wow on his pro day like Zach Wilson did (lol)
  10. How the hell did that happen in the 80s??
  11. Is that even a hot take?
  12. Bulls up to the 6th best defensive rating in the league. Too bad they can’t shoot well enough consistently.
  13. Likely making more than HC Mike McDaniel
  14. Teams should dress 3 quarterbacks every game.
  15. Absolutely awful coaching and lack of accountability. Can’t wait to see Vuc return to being a star next year somewhere else.
  16. Couldn’t he DH too? Who is the current DH, Madrigal? Sounds like it’ll be a rotation of guys. Also have Wisdom and Morel that’ll share time at 3B/DH/OF.
  17. First base production will be improved this year.
  18. Yes. This! Saw a tweet that said they should trade a 3rd for Hopkins then get an extra 1st from trading down this year and use on Marvin Harrison Jr., even if you have to trade up next year. Not only would you be trading a 3rd for a WR, after trading a 2nd for Claypool, but now you want to potentially take a WR 1 the following year, maybe even giving up multiple 1sts.....but if you want Hopkins because "Justin needs a #1" and you still need Harrison Jr next year, then maybe Hopkins ain't the guy you thought he was. I'm all about getting weapons. And I know the Eagles gave up a 1 for AJ Brown after using a 1 on Smith. But they didn't do it also after trading the highest possible 2nd on Claypool, nor did they have a Mooney already in house. And I understand guys will be out of contract soon (Claypool, potentially Hopkins) but feels like overkill maybe, when you don't have an offensive line, or a defense. Agree with most of what you’re saying. But I think the assumption here might be that Claypool doesn’t work out. You can’t allow the sunk cost for Claypool to stop you from getting a WR in the ‘24 draft if that’s what you need. There’s a lot of unknowns involved here that I don’t think it’s really worth caring about now. Get Hopkins for a 3rd rounder if that’s a possibility, and acquire as many day 1/2 ‘24 picks as possible. Then figure out how to use those picks to address whatever needs are your biggest 15 months from now.
  19. What was the final decision? Goff/Monty/Allen?
  20. They are going in a way that extracts the most amount of pain possible from me for some unknown thing I did in the recent past. Stroud’s just increasing his value so the Bears get max value back on their trade down. Feel better?
  21. Now I want to know how you did 150 drafts. Even at 20 seconds/pick, that’s impressive.
  22. How is a team assembled in this format? And how many play? I also need these details. Assuming it’s salary cap based. Would love to join next year. I need best ball formats in my life. Tough luck on Hurts.
  23. The second half of the 4th quarter defense was great. There were stretches throughout the rest of the game where they were rotating and playing well, but it wasn’t consistent. I don’t know if it’s scheme, ability, or desire, but it’s just not there. Probably all 3. Every once in awhile they have a stretch of great defense and all it really does for me is highlight how trash it is the rest of the game. That said, last night was probably Zach’s best game overall as a Bull. He was putting in consistent effort defensively, attacking the rim, taking and making quality shots, and making some great passes off the drive. I was impressed. Need Blake Snell in the first row more often.
  24. If Miami loses out (including tomorrow vs the Packers), the Jets lose next week vs Seattle, and the Patriots lose week 18 vs the Bills, the Jags can back door into the 7 seed with a win next week vs the Texans and a loss in week 18 to the Titans (who would win the division and the 4 seed). There might be some other stuff required with the Steelers and Raiders, but I’m not about to go that far. Sooo just hope for a Miami win tomorrow so that the Jags game vs Houston is truly meaningless.
  25. It’s wild and a little sad that I don’t know most of the names that have been mentioned in the last few posts. A decade ago I could probably list most of the top 10 prospects of every team.
