  1. Don't count on Tilson, I have been watching him since his Soph season in HS. I told my boss, he's more Sam Fuld than Jacoby Ellsbury. If he's anything above a 4th OF'er, Id be shocked.
  2. Every WS contender needs a scrappy Big 10 point guard.
  3. I'm all for letting the bottom of the rotation work itself out and if it doesn't, trade for Sonny.
  4. If the Cubs managed to steal Heyward, their offense would be in an even bigger hole. They pretty much have to land one of Chris Davis or Jason Heyward if they realistically want a shot at the division. Yeah right. Tommy Pham will probably win the triple crown leading them to back-to-back 100 win seasons. I would expect them to be 1st in line if Fielder is on the block (if they miss on Heyward).
  5. Where the hell was the flag for slamming him down? This league is such [expletive] when it comes to protecting players. How the hell was he allowed to come back? If that was Brady or Rodgers, that [expletive] would've been called. I was wrong when I said it should not be close enough to be factored by Fox. Gould already missed one from there. Gould makes too much on a rebuilding team, let him go.
  6. This game is one where I should not worry about Fox's in game management impacting the game.
  7. If Gase or Fangio get promoted, at least the blueprint is ther. Kromer was an OLine coach/Trestman came from the CFLand Tucker led the 32 nd ranked defense in Jacksonville. One think Fox has done is line himself up with great coordinators. I do agree with Collinsworth though, Im not sure the stars can align themselves so perfect (thank you SF).
  8. Now, there are rumors of them offering Cubit a 2 year deal? Nothing gets solved for the program by doing that. If I'm a recruit, unless there's some geographical and family reason, I would not want to go there knowing he's on a two year deal with a different AD.
  9. I was glad to see Gase neutralize their strong pass rush with the WR screen to Alshon's and Wilson. Their pass rush wasn't the same afterward and their blitzing pattern changed. Defensively, I've never seen a staff do so much with less. Oh yeah, even with the Bears winning, the refs were horribly one-sided. No accountibility whatsoever. I didn't find it ironic that Collinsworth after the commercial corrected his criticism of the refs, wonder who was in his ear?
  10. It's been pretty embarrassing how the events have transpired since Thomas was let go. Not including what happened under his watch. http://footballscoop.com/news/with-no-ad-and-no-head-coach-illinois-is-currently-in-considerable-turmoil-according-to-report/ Sources tell 670 The Score that as overwhelmed university officials are dithering and providing little guidance, the group of trustees, boosters and alums left to run things can’t yet agree on much. Some want to hire a search firm with a spotty recent track record, others want to form their own search committee, while another faction thinks they need to act faster by using their own contacts to target specific AD and coaching candidates right now and just get moving. This hire will have be a home run to prevent the regression of Illini sports (sans Baseball last year). To throw into the mix they supposedly have mentioned Bud Foster as a coaching candidate despite not even being able to decide on how conduct a search for AD once George declined is bizarre. IMO, they should put Tom Bowen of Memphis and Oliver Luck (Former WV AD, currently with NCAA, Andrew Luck's dad) at the top of their list.
  11. They need to sell the farm and go after Gregg Marshall, pay him as a top 10 coach and give him full control. I also like Archie Miller and Larry Krystkowiack. Give him full control? Like GM and Head Coach? Is this a Kentucky thing? Supposedly, that's one of the main reason why he hasn't left the state of Kansas.
  12. Bennett leads the team in receptions and without looking, likely in targets as well. Don't let Miller's fluke game cloud your judgement.
  13. He can't be on the verge of getting one of those elite WR contracts, right? If not, his cap hit should be much lower if they sign him to a longterm deal instead of franchise tagging him. He wouldn't get Bryant money but wouldn't be surprised if a team gave him a 5 yr 65 mil deal with 40 guaranteed if he tested the market.
  14. Is this like the "Cable" version of him? Does he have tiny hands or something? Based on his texting history, I doubt his hands could get any smaller.
  15. I agree they should franchise him however a long term contract would be foolish at this stage.
  16. Alot will depend on Alshon's usual uncertainty. I hope they franchise tag him and prove he can stay healthy, I don't want on a long term deal for someone who might be musculary (sp?) wound too tightly. GBP looked good again as Lacy was effective. I think it's a solid line and likely see a 27-17 type of game (depending on weather).
  17. Im praying that Gase doesn't get a head coach position. They have a solid offseason and they could/should be in contention for a playoff spot.
  18. They need to sell the farm and go after Gregg Marshall, pay him as a top 10 coach and give him full control. I also like Archie Miller and Larry Krystkowiack.
  19. I didn't like it. Not based on yardage but rather there was still 10 minutes left. If Denver could have secured the game with one last time consuming drive, then I would have been for it. As bad as Fox is as an in game manager, this team is playing so far over their heads.
  20. If Kentucky can upset Vandy, they'll get to 6 wins more than likely and get to a bad bowl game. This year is a repeat of last year.
  21. Every weekly league I've been in has been based off of waiver activity (if you have the 1st pick in the waiver wire and use it, it drops you down). This is a 12 team league, top 4 make the playoffs. Im 7-2, the team I wanted to trade with is 3-6.
  22. Flex: (non PPR) Allen Hurns or Brandon LaFell? Ill be monitoring Hurns injury this week but am still leaning towards Hurns.
  23. To my commissioner who keeps rejecting trades because the other team is out of the playoff run. Also, the weekly waiver order is based on record rather than last picked.
  24. Sutcliffe HR in 84 Paxson at the end of game 5 in 91. Wilbur Marshall's hit on Ferguson in 85
  25. Somewhere in Queens in a basement studio apartment someone named Monica is consoling her on/off boyfriend Tony.
