  1. Somewhere outside of Juarez, Ruben Quevado is trying to get off his couch.
  2. Is that a good plan of attack against Harvey? Or are they just being overly anxious for some other reason? His command was good but they still were swinging at pitches on the edges. They need to wear him down. He got to 100 in the 8. He wasn't as sharp the second time through and even though they had some bad luck, didn't make him work.
  3. Bad game by the Cubs managers and coaches. Lester should've been out of there earlier, Wendell Kim-esque on the assist at home. They've played tight tonight.
  4. The Cubs will need a similar approach as the Dodgers used against their pitchers. LA worked the count well, was able to get them in the 90-100 pitch count thru 5. They'll need to maintain that from the Stl series. Offensively, the Mets struggled (especially Duda) which helps vs the righties. Cubs maintain their approach, they'll win in 6.
  5. I approve of Lester going game 1 and giving Arrieta an extra days rest.
  6. Any preference between Kansas City and Toronto? I prefer that the Royals win.
  7. what is embarrassing? A semifinal game being broadcast at 2:30 during the week? Not sure about you, but I think that kind of sucks. There's nothing wrong with two games overlapping, no? Even though the hours suck, advertising is greater for two separate game times than both at the same time. No point in dividing the casual fan in half.
  8. This is a good article. I was firmly in the "we should want the Mets" camp previously. I'm less sure now. I'm in the face the Dodgers camp. If they face the lefties, maybe they put Baez at 3b and Bryant in OF. Offensively, the Mets are much better.
  9. If you have Haren go, you pitch him on the road in game 2. If he pitches in conditions like Monday, they'll be down 6 after one. Give him Citi Field on a chilly night, he has a chance. Im for Arrieta in game 1 like previously mentioned.
  10. Their confidence is amazing, this team don't give a [expletive] about the nonsense. I'm glad about game 5, shifts their rotation a bit.
  11. My interactions with him is that he is a complete [expletive].
  12. Just had enough is my guess. I get the sense that he really dislikes the team he has had the last few years. A lot of that is probably on him. 17 year old recruits don't care about the name Spurrier and how relatable could a 70 year old man be anyways? Can't recruit anymore, also who would be certain a 75yo coach would be when you're a senior?
  13. My expected lineup. .. Fowler Schwarber Bryant Rizzo Castro Soler Montero Baez Hammel
  14. If Russell can't play, run the risk with Coghlan at 2b and Castro at SS? That's a tough proposition for me. I don't weaken 4 positions (2B, SS, LF, RF) for the sake of offense, in what should be a low scoring game. They'll have the pitching advantage if you don't outdong them.
  15. Despite Molina's weight loss, it would hurt them more offensively than anything CERA based.
  16. If Russell can't play, run the risk with Coghlan at 2b and Castro at SS?
  17. My line up is the same as yesterday's. Hit his 1st pitch FB , expect his sinker with runners on. 3 innings of Hammel followed by Wood.
  18. If he's falling off to the 1b side, he'll be opening his shoulder up too soon, leaving that fastball flat.
