This is a good matchup for the Cubs. Wacha has been throwing more 4 seamers and change ups. The Cubs generally guess hit more than other teams. Watch his arm side run early on, if it's flat, they'll hit him as he'll miss in the zone. It's good that his most hittable pitch is the one he is currently throwing 60% of the time. You have to at that point. His velo was a little off as was his command but even at his subparagraph, he's great. Unless it's a deciding game, if they get up 4 again, maybe you pull him after 7 and save his arm. We'll see the effects next year, if it happens.

If there are players that I'd like to pick up but are not in the database, if we created a thread like this to post which players those are as well as keep that minor league spot open, would that be allowed? The players I'd like to pick up were either drafted or signed in 14 and would be eligible to be picked has CBS included them.

This is a massive story. You have members of the Cardinals Front Office hacking passwords based on previous Luhnow passwords with Stl. The amount of effort to do so to hack into their database and then to publicly leak that info. This is far far worse than anything the Patriots did, not even including the federal violations. I doubt the punishment will equal the crime.

According to Iowa's bio we drafted him in the 20th round in 2012 as a catcher out of simeon 2012 would be the first year for this regime, draft-wise, right? If so, Hickman is probably someone on their radar, as we know scouts love to keep tabs on their guys, even after a position-switch. Cubs drafted him as a pitcher. He was never going to stick behind the plate. -

He had some big holes in his swing. The velocity of pitchers has increased since he last played. With his age, long swing, increased velo, and holes in his swing (even with an improved approach) success isn't likely. He should only brought in with nothing to lose.

Im content with Underwood's progress. He's got 3 plus pitch potential and is locating better, which beyond samples/luck might explain the low babip. Once he gets to AA, the low strikeout (although only .005 lower than last year) would become an issue. -
That's a combo of sports talk radio and homerism. They're both marginal players.

He's throwing more sinkers than 4 seamers neither one is a plus pitch. He needs to pitch off his curve similar to how Marmol pitched off his slider. His curve at times flashes 70 and is generally around 60/65.
