    That's not true re Marshall. I think they'll eat roughly 6 of his 9 M to cut him. Same to trade him. Right...they still have money that they'd have to pay him, but they do save money by cutting him. reports on that vary. I've seen that 2015 has a guarantee but also that the money is only guaranteed to injury, so a healthy Marshall could theoretically be cut for nothing. This is what I've heard as well. That he can be cut without the hit.

    I think Marshall is gone. They have no liability if they cut him, did a good job with his contract. Fox isn't a good in-game coach. This will depend on who they get as coordinators. If he brings in Jeff Davidson as the OC, they should have kept Lovie given bad play calling, bad in-game managing from a players coach. My guesses for OC are Gase or Davidson and DC is Allen or Trgovac.

    Getting way way ahead of myself here... With Gase getting so much hype as a HC candidate this time around but apparently being passed over by all teams, what will his next candidacy look like? I'm thinking best case scenario is he does a great job with Cutler and becomes Fox's de facto heir. But with all the hype this time around I would expect other teams to come calling as early as next year. If they stumble and get nothing out of the remaining Cutler era, he will need to hit on the next QB and offensive system before he gets another shot as a HC candidate. He will be gone quickly. They underachieved on offense, if he gets it close to 2 years ago, he's gone. For him, the only OC position available with any talent would be Atlanta and Denver. I think Kubiak is going to Denver which would hurt Gase. Of course, you don't pass up someone because you think they'll do well enough to earn a promotion.

    If you look at Banedon gif, you see that he catches with both hands. Shields knocks it loose (contact point #1) and Bryant regains possession by grasping it with two hands, then advances his arm to stretch for the goal line .

I thought he had possession of the ball until the ball was dislodged by the ground. That's pretty debatable.     He has deep connections to the Parcells tree so I'd start there. I'd rather see him get advice from Arians and the Tom Moore coaching tree. It would be nice to see Cutler in a vertical passing attack rather than a west coast offense.

    To me, if there was no contact I would agree with the call. If Shields makes contact and Bryant has possession, the ground can't cause a fumble and should be spotted where his knee touches the ground.
