  1. I think it will depend on how much improvement we see from Bryant/Soler/Russell as the season goes along. If they're rocking, then the team is probably good enough to be serious contenders with an upgrade at 4/5 in the rotation. I'm assuming "Cue" is Cueto - yes, he's worth a trade. But I'd pretty much hate the idea of facing Baez 19 times a year if he gets things figured out. If they're willing to do Almora & CJ? Sure, bring him on! I cant see Baez being the key piece for him. That's not even what Texas gave up for Garza. If they give up anything between what Texas gave up for Garza and what Oakland gave up for Samardzija and Hammel (which I think it would closer to), I don't think it would be worth it. I imagine Kazmir's trade value is similar to Garza's.
  2. It's about the names likely to be available and what they will cost as well as how good the Cubs will be even with them. Is Cue to worth possibly losing him next year to a higher bidder? Same with Kazmir. Is Harang worth anything? Is Hamels worth the idiocy from Philly plus his contract? Solid hyperbole though.
  3. This type of trade is as common as a prospect for prospect trade. I'm just hoping the Cubs are buyers mid Summer. The main debate I'm struggling with is whether or not the Cubs are good enough to be trading prospects to improve the current club.Im leaning towards keeping the farm and going with what they have.
  4. If he's there at 47, it would be a solid pick. He's more of a safe pick with a lower ceiling/floor despite leading the NCAA in Hrs as a C.F.. His one plus tool is his speed. His ceiling is that of a smaller Marisnick.
  5. Theocracy will receive Cucamonga Cracker Killer's 5th round major league pick..
  6. Theocracy gets The Process 1st round Major League pick in the 2016 pick.
  7. Theocracy gets North side Baseball's 2nd rd minor league pick
  8. As a DE or OLB? Hes versatile to play the DE in the 4/3 as well as OLB in the 3/4, it depends on how much they go with a hybrid defense. I see effective in both of those roles. Worst case scenario he is a great special teams player.
  9. I thought it was a very good draft for the Bears based on the 1-5 If it was up to me. 1) White- Same 2) Goldman-Same 3) Odighizuwa- DE UCLA, Grasu was a equal value pick and a position of need but Odighizuwa will likely be a better player and also a position of need. 4) TJ Clemmings- OT Pitt, Langford was another good value at a position of need so no complaints. Even with the foot injury and the law of polish, Clemmings would have been the better choice. 5) Amos- S Same (Bennett had more vale here but based on needs, Amos makes more sense). 6)Andy Gallik C Boston College.
  10. I should be more interested in Nikorak but with his rapid drops velo despite a strong core and solid mechanics as well as the lack of a 3rd pitch and a consistent 2nd pitch scares me.
  11. I like the pick. Besides trading down and grabbing Ray, this was the next best thing.
  12. Wha? Bud Dupree equals John Thierry.
  13. apparently bears havent talked to ray since the pot thing. was hoping they would trade down and get Ray.
  14. I'd be possession if it was Dupree at 7. Meh, I be pissed. Stupid auto correct.
  15. Bengals select Preston Smith DE Mississippi State.
  16. Chiefs select WR Devin Smith Ohio State.
  17. yeah I was glad to see him there that late, he was the last of the wide receivers that I thought had a first-round grade on them
  18. Cleveland Browns select WR Nelson Agholor USC.
  19. I think Cameron is going to project more like a college player would than a typical HS position guy. He developed so quickly it was obvious at 15 he was clear #1 pick with that polish and current skill set. Two years, it hasn't progressed. He's not stronger, faster, better arm strength and already advanced, not much down the road. He's safe in a similar manner as Almora. I do see similarities in Tucker to Colvin.
  20. From what I've seen from Kyle Tucker, he's grown on me. Im not sold on the collegiate middle infielders, lower ceiling/ lower floor.
  21. Are you confusing him with tadowdaddy? This. Mooch is a Sox fan but he hasn't posted in anything other than a fantasy forum. Tadow probably got banned defending K State.
  22. Theocracy selects Daniel Robertson SS Rays
  23. Its the one negative feature of having a higher velocity bullpen, there's going to be a higher rate of elbow/forearm injuries. Last year, the Cubs bullpen FB velo was ranked 18th at 92.5 MPH. Right now, they're 2nd at 94.1. Grimm and Ramirez played critical roles last year and based on data, they're more likely to get injured the following season and it's holding true. Grimm's avg FB velo was 94 last year and it was 91.6 last year (largely due to shift from starter to reliever). Ramirez was similar as far as avg 94 on the gun. http://www.hardballtimes.com/velocitys-relationship-with-pitcher-arm-injuries/?utm_source=twitterfeed
  24. No bring him back. Bring back baseball 676557876 too.
  25. Not expecting the H&R Block tax guy.
