    I'd be worried about Dupree's ability to play 4-3 DE, just like I'm not sure Vic Beasley and Shane Ray can. Obviously all three are more athletic than Shea McClellin but I'm pretty nervous about tweeners who are better fits in a 3-4. Not a fan of this pick. If you're going to draft a situational pass rusher have them have above average athletic ability. Dupree has been disappointing against the elite of the SEC.

    Looking forward to tonight. I think UK can negate the size of Alexander, Ellis, and Seldon. Oubre and the advantage UK has at PG will decide this game. Neither team shoots well, Kansas is better in transition and UK is better in half court offense.

    Swap Hammel for Anderson and you have the likely best case scenario for the off-season.

    One marginal player for another, one that is traded from a position of strength from a depth chart standpoint for a player that comes from a position of weakness. He's what you'll likely want from a cost controlled utility guy with an outside shot of his bat carrying into a valuable starting position, similar to where Vizcaino is likely projected as a middle of the road bullpen guy with the potential go into setup/closer.

    Depending on the financials, I'm all for getting Crawford or if they want a higher upside, CarGo. If they get Martin... Castillo, Jackson for Crawford and cash.

    i can't imagine a team carrying 3 catchers unless one of those catchers hits well enough to play semi-regularly at another position (probably first base). Reminds me of the 89 Cubs.

    you like whatever you've seen of him from a scouting perspective? He has plus bat speed with a short compact swing. He's younger than most Cuban defectors. He's not as polished as Abreu or Soler but that power is worth the risk.

    It makes the opposite of sense. It depends on the market and how it plays out. If the top 3 arms receive above what they are willing to spend, then it makes sense. It should be used as a last resort unless the demand is less than expected.

    Rob Rang's mock has them going Shane Ray at 8 (Thompson gone at 7, Collins picked 9). Ray has been amazing this year, but I don't know that he fits. He's smaller than Shea was at DE, much more athletic, but you'd be taking a top 10 pick as a guy you can't put on the field for 3 downs.....unless he can play the Von Miller role at SLB in the base D and DE in nickel. What's your thoughts on Oakman?
