Noah has "star" potential but no one else left on the board (besides Julian Wright) has that high a potential.

Couldn't disagree more...he is much more likely to bust than to ever be a star. Take away the crazy hair, the great supporting cast he had (he was actually part of the supporting cast to Horford/Brewer), the famous parents and the bombastic personality and you're left with an above-average, undersized non-scoring tweener.

Most overrated player in the draft.

Certainly he has bust potential, but you are looking past his ceiling.

But what ceiling Raisin? In no world do I see him ever averaging 15 points a game, and hes going to get bullied around down low which will mitigate his rebounding effort. At best I see a 10 and 8 guy

Honestly, with our team I'm fine with a 10-8 guy. I could also see a 1 bl, .5 st, and 2.5 a line as an extension.

Id be fine with it too, if it wasnt acquired from the 9th pick in the draft.

Heh, then you'd have been disappointed with Hawes too.

I didn't think I could be more disappointed than I was with Tyrus Thomas over Aldridge. But here we are.

Noah sucks.

You're still disappointed with Thomas?

I like the pick and I like Pax's track record even better.

thaddeus young? meh. could've been worse though (josh mcroberts)

Careful, the 76ers still have two picks left in the first round.

Yea I know I would have been perfectly fine trading this pick and getting some later picks, or picks for next year. I just didnt think being in the 9 spot this year was going to help us much. I think free agency, or trades is where they will have to make noise.

can't wait to watch thornton become a solid 12/9 guy out west while thaddeus sits on the bench with all his unrealized potential.

Short term, sure. Young's the one who could end up a superstar, though.

Good for Nick, that's a solid pick. Hopefully Arron and Gabe Pruitt can sneak into the first round too (esp. Arron).

Well, we were an Eddy Curry last second tip-in from being in the top 6. Frankly, I'm better wasting the 9th pick on Noah than wasting the 6th pick on him. I think this was Pax's guy all along.

What? Why did the Blazers do that?

What? Why did the Blazers do that?

Because Zach's crazy? Frye's rookie numbers were outstanding as well. Maybe it was a sophomore slump. I think Francis is off the books in a couple of years, too.

hmm, me thinks Ben Gordon + something else could have been enough to get Randolph.

Yeah, Gordon > Frye + Francis...

Blazers lineup looks alright though.

Francis

Roy

Frye

Aldridge

Oden

Who's the other someone? The Bulls don't have a player with a bloated contract they want to get rid of like the Knicks did with Francis.

I like Frye but I don't know about Francis on that team (I know Francis is there to match salaries, but still). I guess Zach was pretty bad, I didn't realize he was such a problem though. I thought they could have done better.

They might release Francis. His expiring contract will provide lots of cap space when it comes time to extend Roy and Aldridge.

Yeah, Stephen A., it would really take the Lakers DECADES to recover if they traded Kobe. A few years, yeah, but decades? Please. Just shut up any time.

For some reason I think the Bulls end up with Yi. Not really sure why I think this.

only if the Bulls can trade up to #3 or #4, as there is virtually no way Boston passes on him at 5

Hey! We were both wrong! High five!
