Yes, Noah is too thin now but he's certainly going to gain muscle and strength.

Noah has "star" potential but no one else left on the board (besides Julian Wright) has that high a potential.

Couldn't disagree more...he is much more likely to bust than to ever be a star. Take away the crazy hair, the great supporting cast he had (he was actually part of the supporting cast to Horford/Brewer), the famous parents and the bombastic personality and you're left with an above-average, undersized non-scoring tweener.

Most overrated player in the draft.

Certainly he has bust potential, but you are looking past his ceiling.

But what ceiling Raisin? In no world do I see him ever averaging 15 points a game, and hes going to get bullied around down low which will mitigate his rebounding effort. At best I see a 10 and 8 guy

Completely agree. To compare him to Ben W is a joke. Noahs body is nowhere near Ben W.

Noah is 7-0, 225. PJ Brown is 6-11, 240, and Wallace is 6-9, 240. It's not beyond a stretch of the imagination for Noah to put on a good 10 lbs of muscle in workouts and training. I think it's a lot closer than you would think.

I just think he is too much of a tweener with limited offensive skills.

Plus I think he's a moron, so I'm sure that colors my judgement

He needs to add alot to that frame to D up NBA big men.

I will say, though, "Noah has a great motor!"

(I hate that phrase....when that's being talked up as your best attribute, you're not a great player).

Haha, I'll go on record and say I hate him more than anyone else here.

Julian Wright...should have stayed at Kansas another year son.

Maybe. But I think someone is about to get a steal. Now, if we want to talk about ceilings, I think this is guy with a very high one.

Agreed. I don't think he'll necessarily be a star but I can see him averaging 15 and 10 some day.

I can definitely see 15-8-3 blocks at his height. Add a little bulk and he's going to get a lot of points off second chances, etc.

We will have to agree to disagree I guess. I dont see Noah as being an NBA post defender even with 10 lbs.

He'll need more than 10 lbs but he should easily get 10 lbs. before the season starts - that's bukie's point.

I guess I dont see 15-8-3 as "star" numbers. Thats a role player nowhere near a "star" in my opinion.

Ugh, I need a shower. I feel disgusting for defending Noah.

I'd say that Yi and Noah both have the biggest "bust" potential with Hawes and B. Wright not too far behind.

But for the Bulls, Noah can run up and down the floor and help facilitate a fast-break. He's very smart with creating passing lanes but is limited offensively. He doesn't need to score more than 8 pts a game if he can at least score a couple drop shots 10-12 ft out to pose a threat and open space for Deng, Gordon and Hinrich or even draw a defender away from Wallace and feed him down low. He's a smart player, but nowhere near a star.

He's also quick and long enough to be a good weakside defender. I would have preferred a trade for a serviceable post option, but I'm fine with the pick. Curious to see if they try to bring PJ back now.

Ok but he starts bulking up and then he loses his "energy and ability to run" and becomes somebody who can D up a post and still not score. I think hes a tweener and you lose something from him depending on which way you make him.

Mmm, my bad. I meant 18-10-3 which I view as star numbers. He needs to bulk up, but he has a passable midrange jumper already and the activity on the offensive boards will results in a lot of second chance points.

Odds are he starts bulking up then he loses some of his activity on the boards, thats why I dont like the pick because hes a tweener. Depending on what "type" you make him you then lose the other type and he becomes just another NBA player.

I didn't think I could be more disappointed than I was with Tyrus Thomas over Aldridge. But here we are.

Noah sucks.

QFT, although I really like Tyrus after this year.

Honestly, with our team I'm fine with a 10-8 guy. I could also see a 1 bl, .5 st, and 2.5 a line as an extension.
