Green would make Duhon expendable since they seem to not like him. Fits the similar profile of a college PG that won a ton, and does a little bit of everything.

There were alot better players available the Adam Haluska.

 

Of course there are, but they must see him as a fit for their system and to fill the role they're looking for. Ford didn't seem to think it was a terrible pick.

 

TT I agree that they didn't have to draft him at that spot to get someone with a skillset like his, but they must have not wanted to take the risk of letting someone grab him late or sign him first. He's a safe pick with incredible makeup.

I think you're underrating his athleticism and defensive ability. His all-around game developed so much this year when he wasn't stuck playing 3rd fiddle (which he shouldn't have the previous 2 years).

 

He did shoot 43% from 3 and average over 21 a game in the Big Ten.

He has a decent post game, but he can't jump and is weak. He will not score against bigger or more athletic players. He's Bill Wennington without the jumper.

My goodness, the Blazers are just drafting circles around people. Imagine if they had kept Byars, they could go 2 deep like this:

Well, the Bulls certainly drafted like a team that isn't gonna be making any trades. Went safe in the 1st at a need position. And followed suit in the 2nd with 2 guys who are gonna get time as backups.

No, his defense isn't that good. He's got a lot of untapped potential and is a good scorer. Fantastic selection at 49, he's going to be a solid bench player.
