  1. Seems odd that guys are getting this much money this late in the game. Maybe it's not, but it certainly seems like it. I figured he'd have to settle for fewer years.
  2. Was that Kane's first career regular season hat trick? i believe so Yes. 2 in the playoffs. 1 in 09 vs. Vancouver to send the Hawks to the Western Conference Finals, and in 2013 ending with the game winner in double OT to eliminate the Kings.
  3. Jimmy Buckets for MVP!
  4. Who's the next Browns coach in a year?
  5. Um, I would have hated this move if we hired Loggains off the street THIS year. Because I would hope Fox could do better. If we did it last year, I would have been OK with it for the reasons Goony listed. I trust Fox's hires (though I didn't like the Fox hire). Continuity is about 85% of the reason I'm fine with this. See, to me, if 85% of the reason you approve is continuity, that seems like a bad move to me. Eh. Jay hasn't had any continuity since he's been here. I think it's a big deal. Also throw in the fact that Fox is over 60, Cutler isn't here for the super long-term, and I think it's kind of the best that we can do given the situation. If the Bears were going all-in in developing the QB of the future or had a young head coach that you'd project could be around long-term if things go well, then I think it'd be a bad move.
  6. Hmm. Blackmon, CarGo, Dickerson, Parra. All lefty hitters. Yeah, somebody's gone.

  8. When you have 2 of the top 5 players on Earth and evaluate talent well, it's going to be hard to be anything less. I've only seen them a couple times this year, but I think they are more explosive than they may have ever been.
  9. IU beat the piss out of the Buckeyes today. 9 in a row. 4-0 in the B1G, without James Blackmon Jr. Ironically, the defense is better without him also (not ironic, he's terrible on D). I only saw highlights, but it looked like Ohio St played the worst 1st half defense in basketball history. So many layups and open jumpers.
  10. Are you sure? I thought he went from OL to HC when somebody got fired.[/quote He's not sure, because it's not true. He was a head coach. Never an OC.
  11. That was the same argument for Tice, sans the OC experience for Loggains which I don't find all that comforting. I want them to hire the best guy, not just the guy who is already here. LOL. The OC experience is actually a big deal, compared to a meatball OL coach like Tice. LOL you know who has OC experience? Mike Tice I don't understand your point. He only has OC experience because the Bears were dumb enough to give it to him. And there's a huge difference between a career OL coach and a career QB coach.
  12. Kinda rooting for this at this point. Of course, if the end result is Manning/Brady for a trip to the Superbowl? Meh.
  13. Middle of the road offense with the combination of Jake Locker, Matt Hasselbeck, and Ryan Fitzpatrick, which is about all anyone else have been able to do with these QBs. Of course this is a downgrade, the OC was just the most sought after HC candidate on the market. Whisenhunt would be a downgrade too. Obviously, not as a big of a downgrade but teams don't typically get a better OC without firing the guy they had.

  15. I'm OK with this. We knew if Gase proved he was worth keeping with the Bears that he would be gone after a year anyway. Loggains provides some continuity, which is key and he does have OC experience.
