  1. What a tired and familiar line! lol
  2. Honestly, I think Andruw Jones is more of a realistic possibility. He has struggled mightily, but I can't imagine the funk will continue all season. He will be a free agent, so Atlanta would probably be willing to part with them considering his struggles. Pie could go back to AAA and work, slot Andruw at center, Floyd in right and Soriano at left. Play DeRosa everyday at SS. Cut Hill and bring up Soto and I think that's a solid lineup. I'd be willing to take the risk on Jones as long as the price is right.
  3. Cubs are on CSN tonight at 6:00. Just a heads up!
  4. You aren't imagining things. It's clearly true. The guys posts every 2.5 seconds.
  5. Hmm....sounds like a fraud.
  6. That seems odd...207 games in just over 130 years of baseball? Can that be right? Did we just play double-headers constantly years ago?
  7. Back to your jokes again?
  8. http://i.cnn.net/si/multimedia/photo_gallery/0706/draft.fashion/images/Noah.jpg What an embarrassment...this guy makes me want to end it all right now.
  9. Maybe. But I think someone is about to get a steal. Now, if we want to talk about ceilings, I think this is guy with a very high one.
  10. I will say, though, "Noah has a great motor!" (I hate that phrase....when that's being talked up as your best attribute, you're not a great player).
  11. I just think he is too much of a tweener with limited offensive skills. Plus I think he's a moron, so I'm sure that colors my judgement
  12. Couldn't disagree more...he is much more likely to bust than to ever be a star. Take away the crazy hair, the great supporting cast he had (he was actually part of the supporting cast to Horford/Brewer), the famous parents and the bombastic personality and you're left with an above-average, undersized non-scoring tweener. Most overrated player in the draft. How is Noah undersized? 7 feet not tall enough? 225 not built enough? He's far too thin to muscle up with the true centers and power forwards in the league and his offensive game is too weak to play the 3.

  14. Yeah, he will provide plenty of embarrassing moments for the organization for years to come. I like the "intangibles" he brings to the table.
  15. Honestly, given the options, Noah was the best choice. Where will he play? You can't have two non-scoring big men on the court. Wallace will be at the five and Thomas is going to bust out at the four. At least Hawes could be an offensive threat for years to come.
  16. I think Spencer Hawes has much better upside as a true post player.
  17. ESPN Radio down on the pick...except one tool who is trying to compare Noah to Bill Russell. Lol.
  18. Ugh...I don't want to look at the guy 100+ times this season.
  19. This thread has illustrated to me how certain posters have thousands of posts...a lot of meaningless and repetitious blabber to pad post counts.
  20. Vanderbilt should FINALLY get back to a bowl game this season. I see them winning 6 games, maybe 7, and playing in one of the worst bowl games. It will be huge for the program though, regardless of which bowl they're in.
  21. I think Kentucky will win 7-8. I wouldn't be surprised to see them pull a big upset or two in the SEC, probably against Arkansas/Tennessee/Georgia.
  22. I think Notre Dame will finish 9-4 on the season. We have an extremely difficult opening stretch with a young team. I think we lose to USC and Michigan and two out of UCLA, Penn State and Boston College. We will finally win a bowl game, albeit a non-BCS game. Our recruiting class for 2008 is looking extremely strong. We should end up ranked in the top 5 classes. The biggest key is that we have finally recruited defense well and we all know that has been our weakness under Weis. I like USC and Texas in the national title game.
  23. that may cost you some votes THe old pic was better. Elaborate. This is crucial information.
  24. Slugger should post a picture...that would help in the voting for many guys here.
  25. Why do you hate posters with a wacky sense of humor so much? I don't hate posters who are funny. even the people that you are voting for don't like you. Ouch!!!!
