I get that I'm stretching for justification here, but...the first pick I kinda figure we're just picking a known commodity, so it's not really a "loss" (I guess it is as far as salary/cap space).  The only "loss" is one first rounder, and a 4th-5th pick swap.  Doesn't seem so bad if you put on those rose colored glasses.

It's very nice that we get him on a relatively cheap deal through 2030. On a financial basis, it's really quite decent.

Heres hoping he's quite good into his early 30s.

He's 29, so obviously you'd love to hit on a stud DL in the draft rather than have to spend 2 picks to get an older one. Be that as it may, the DL is such a glaring hole on this team and something had to be done. At least Poles went for it all-in. Landed the biggest fish. Hopefully it pays off but the logic is sound.

You can't give up much more draft capital at this point, but they really still need at least a depth piece in the secondary.

Yeah, I can't imagine them making any other moves that exceed a 5th round pick. I mean their 2027 draft picks are already down to a 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th. They basically can't trade their 2nd and 3rd or they're just punting on the 2027 draft.

Yeah, we aren't getting Mack. Maybe Nashon.

Packers trade for Parsons: pays off immediately until injury

Rams trade for Garrett: hasn’t been as impactful as many thought it would be

bears trade for Simmons : ??

it will be interesting to see how this pays off, but I love the fit and the timing
