  1. Isn't there a benefit to signing players after June 1st at this point? Not sure how the cap and all that works, but I know it's an important date.
  2. Two thoughts here: either the Bears are extremely smart and are forward thinking and the rest of the league will play copycat in the future, or they are just trying to be the smartest guys in the room and it doesn't work out. 1) Last year some were confused with the Bears selecting Loveland when they had Kmet. Well, they went a lot of 12 and it worked out extremely well. This year let's grab another skilled TE and and play a ton of 12 and 13 with 3 great blockers and athletes that can hurt you vertically. 2) Screw pass rushers we are going to cover really well on the backend with speed and good cover guys. Like someone said above, when the Bears DB's got healthy the defense ascended. This plays into the Poles line about now "QB can hold the ball a little longer". This seems risky but let's see it play out. I still think they grab a veteran DE before the season. I also think Booker is going to have a massive year.
  3. That's exactly where I'm at with each pick. I do think Jones becomes the Game 1 starter. They got "their guy" that helps their zone running scheme. Bradbury is decent but he was a move they had to make at the time. Leader and depth at the position. Amazing how much the Dalman retirement affected their offseason. Grab a DT and Edge today please. Dennis-Sutton seems like a DA guy.
  4. Im guessing they sign Cam Jordan after the draft.
  5. We all wanted Jacas but are we even sure Poles wanted him?
  6. After sleeping on it, I like first 3 picks overall. Good long-term picks as well as making immediate impacts in 2026. Good players and fit for this team. Thomas I just don't understand that high when you could have picked him today. Screw it, just use all your remaining picks on the DL and hope you get a lotto ticket.
  7. San Francisco is looking to trade pick #33.
  8. Trade up with 57. Trade back with 60.
  9. I do agree with this. Feel like the only hole they have would be a long, athletic wing.
  10. Yes. I feel like they are one impact player away from being a National Title Contender.
  11. Poles has repeatedly said he will take BPA in the draft. We shouldn't be surprised if it happens.
  12. Ty seems like an elite teammate.
  13. I bet they find a way to trade him in a package. He will and should be gone.
  14. No AK 2 picks in the top 15 No more P-Will Are things looking up?
  15. I hate the fact that two of my favorite coaches (McCollum and May) are in the Big Ten now.
  16. There's probably some truth to the last sentence but I think Underwood, despite some of his weaknesses has an in-game coach, does a nice job of changing his system to fit his personnel. I think Illinois is the favorite to land him.
  17. Andrej is a big one to keep. I feel strong about Blackwell coming over unless he picks Michigan, but dad played for U of I so that helps. Blackwell and Andrej in the backcourt would be fun.
  18. Ben McCollum tho. Hate Iowa with a passion, but dude can coach.
  19. I know we are focusing on the defense but we got a 2nd round pick for DJ Moore. That is incredible. We now have 3 picks in the top 60. You would like to think all 3 will push to be starters on this roster. You will feel better about the defense if all 2 or 3 selections are on that side of the ball.
  20. I agree with all of this. The only thing I'm frustrated with is the D-Line, specifically EDGE. You have to think it would be addressed once or twice with our first 4 picks but previous drafts would say otherwise too depending on what's on the draft board at the time.
  21. Will Doubs be expensive?
  22. Upgrades at all 3 levels of the defense so far. I'm happy with what Poles has done.
  23. You held the Rams to 17 points through 60 minutes. That should have been enough to be playing next weekend.
  24. I know everyone is excited about the future, as am I, but we had so many opportunities to win last night and I can't get past that right now. However, not sure if we would have had a chance at Seattle.
