  1. I can't think of an offseason in recent memory (maybe even my lifetime) where so many QB's are available, whether FA or trade, and somehow the Bears will mess this up.
  2. Do it Bears. Although I think Watson ends up in San Fran.
  3. I would bet that the Bears end up with Wentz or Ryan this offseason. More likely Wentz because he's younger and knows the system.
  4. How would you feel about this if the Cubs surprised us all and signed Bauer?
  5. Shots fired!!! I don't see those as shots fired at all. Schwarber is all class, he's not going to take shots at the Cubs.
  6. I agree with you but couldn't we at least expect a better return?
  7. He's had one short stint of great play and looong stretches of below average-mundane play. Bringing him on was simply trying to catch lightening in a bottle. I still hate we traded for him when others like Dalton, Bridgewater, Newton either became available or were available. Foles is better than all those guys though. Maybe not better than Bridgewater, but just clearly outplayed him head-to-head (of course didn't face the same caliber of defense). Not to mention a better fit. I know this is unpopular, but I kinda feel like this is going to be a best case scenario type of season. Foles is winning games, but not playing so well that the Bears do something stupid like giving him more money or pretending he's a long-term answer. They should still go out and get a long-term QB in the draft, and they don't necessarily have to throw him on the field right away or have pressure to do so like they did with Trubisky, because they should have competent play ahead of the rookie. It's a lot better scenario than losing a bunch of games, still not losing enough to get the top QB, and not having a competent bridge guy for your potential franchise QB. 100%. This is our best case scenario right now.
  8. Going to need it with our schedule coming up.
  9. Guaranteed fake rally in the 9th, probably will even score a run.
  10. Agree with your take for the most part. The two touchdowns that were taken away were beautiful balls by Foles too. He just looks so calm and comfortable back there.
  11. what is our updated playoff opponent scenarios?
  12. Trade for Andy Dalton? Serious question.
  13. I think we have enough body of work to say Mitch will never be a great QB or a franchise QB. However, I am still confident we can win a Super Bowl with Mitch at QB because of this defense.
  14. 4-9, thanks for asking better than I would have guessed.
  15. Our extra innings record this year has to be brutal.
  16. No, Bears win tiebreakers with Rams and Saints. Lose tiebreaker to DAL. oh nice, so things get more interesting if the Panthers fighting for their playoff lives beat the Saints tomorrow Two games with the Panthers and the Steelers sandwiched in between.
  17. Also mentioning having an open base is a luxury. Just an odd comment when a runner is in scoring position.
  18. Sorry but i don't think it matters unless you just want a division title... I mean wheater they play WC or NLDS, how much confidence do you have in the offense against a team top 2 starters and the BP to hold a lead or keep a game close what team's top 2 starters scare you in the NL playoffs?
