  1. That's kind of a weird thing to say. I understand a path is being laid, but they aren't literally closer to a Super Bowl than they were a few days ago (except for the fact the earth has completed another rotation and there's one less day until the next SB). They are closer to a Super Bowl because of exactly what you said... they have a plan. They weren't winning a Super Bowl keeping Mack's salary around. They haven't even won a playoff game with him.
  2. I'm really happy with Poles moves so far. We are closer to a Super Bowl because of it.
  3. Mack really hasn't been that good the last two years.
  4. The Lions can't find a better back-up?
  5. the writer for that article calls it "Soldier Fields". ughh... I wonder how he pronounces "IllinoiS"
  6. My frustration watching the Bulls last year was always their defense. The two signings yesterday improved that aspect a ton. Bulls really need some size though. What bench bigs are available that would fit in well with this team?
  7. I only saw the highlights of the Mets Broadcast and they said Jake ran through a stop sign. Did Willie send him?
  8. I don't want much NBA outside of the Bulls, but there can't be many worse defensive teams in the league.
  9. I thought he looked the best he has in the last few games. But, he's still not shooting the ball well. Hard to know if the ankle is a factor in that or not.
  10. I like Donovan, but him riding the hot line-up for really long stretches is getting annoying. Especially when your two all-stars are on the bench the entire time.
  11. It doesn't make sense at all, unless like you said Underwood has something in the works. While its surprising, there's nothing the Illini got from Miller that they couldn't get from almost literally thousands of transfer candidates and as yet unsigned/uncommitted 2021 recruits. So. if I'm Underwood I'm fine, good luck, goodbye Adam, next. Agreed. Although I was hoping Miller would take a big step forward with Ayo gone.
  12. I don't get it, he was a starter and played 25-30 minutes per game. Curbelo was more the pure point guard, but Miller was the shooting guard poised to take over Ayo's shot volume most of all. Me neither, just don't get it, hopefully, Underwood has something in the works to replace him. Seriously, starting on a program back on the rise, would have had a great PG to set him up next season, what the horsefeathers else could he want? It doesn't make sense at all, unless like you said Underwood has something in the works.
  13. Ok Hendricks walking the lead-off hitter wins. Already annoyed.
  14. I'll go with Javy swinging at a ball low and away on an 0-2 count.
  15. Arrieta got the biggest pop from the crowd for introductions.
  16. Again, another deal where we got the best player involved IMO. That's how you build a team in the NBA.
  17. I don't think the Bulls are done today.
  18. I mean you have to give up something of value for Vucevic. I'm good with it.
  19. acquiring another all-star. I like it.
  20. Why?
  21. We showed we can be solid without Ayo when he was hurt. I feel really good about next year, especially if Kofi stays.
  22. I wouldn't say Loyola "gambled" on Kofi not passing effectively out of the post. If you've watched the Illini the past couple of years, he's shown that he doesn't pass out of the post much at all, he's got one thing in mind and that's to score. Porter also consistently put Kofi in a pick and roll situation, which again, if you've watched the Illini the past few seasons it's a great strategy. I'm mostly upset that Underwood did not adjust AT ALL. He had too much Matt Nagy in him on Sunday.
