I can’t remember the last time they had a 1-2-3 9th inning with a lead,

Going to assume you meant they as in ‘the bullpen’ and not the third, fourth, fifth inning tonight

A game like this you can’t even enjoy your win

Speak for yourself. Our amazing offense was awesome, our incredible MVP was even more awesome.

seriously, beating a good team 8-4 or 8-5 or whatever is basically the game plan for this team winning playoff games.

How many playoff games do you expect to get 8 runs?

going to be impossible to win a playoff game

Yep, impossible for a 90 win team to beat another 90 win team. I mean, no chance!!!!

Well, tbf, they only needed 5 today. And how many did Atlanta score on Monday?

They can maybe win a WC series but they’re not gonna average 8 runs against the Brewers or Dodgers pitching.

This is so tiring. Why can’t we score a lot of runs in the playoffs? Because the average amount of runs scored goes down? But not for the teams we’re going to play, apparently?

Super small sample, but HR/9 in Sep looks like this.

Boyd: 0.00
Shota: 0.50
Peterson: 0.64
Holmes: 1.80
Gausman: 2.70 (this is almost Jamo level.)

So, 3 out of 5 have way below league average.

The bullpen is totally different, though.  6 RP's have 2+ HR/9 in Sep.  That's pretty bad.
