If you can't feel safe putting him in a 6 run game in the 8th inning he shouldn't be on the roster.

Yeah, 30 pitches Sunday, traveling across the country, then throwing last night.  Adrenaline can only carry you so far.

Yeah I'm sure there's an explanation for this but looking at it a little closer I don't think it's quite apples to apples, and I think the error comes from the FG not recognizing any sort of defensive contributions from pitchers for 2026, whereas in 2016 Lester (lol), Arrieta, Lackey, Hammer all contributed pretty sizable defensive value. Removing the pitchers from the list, if my quick math is right, puts that team at 50.4, so we're probably right on line with that, if not a little ahead. 

All in all, probably safe to say the offensive group is on par with the 2016 group. Pitching has been a very different story.
