    Can anyone explain why they keep throwing breaking balls up in the zone to Mike Yaz? Every pitch he has done damage on has been a spinner up and in the middle of the zone. Really bad.

    Well you take one of the two best bats out of the lineup early so you lose flexibility later in the game as well. Also, up 5-1 is a great time for him to get more ABs against lefties. It is short-sighted.

    I have faith that Bally will hit plenty. He is just so natural at the plate. Wish he wasn't built like a Hershey's kiss, but it is what it is.

    Yes, however outside of April and May of last year, he is a below average hitter. He had a small resurgence at the end of the year, but track record suggests that catchers on the north side of 30 don't all of a sudden become good hitters if they haven't been in their whole career.

    Well it seems like Arias is a decent defender. I wonder if he is any relation to former Cub great Alex Arias.

    Yet Kelly will still get at least half of the starts behind the plate... and bat cleanup.

    Amaya has been a really good hitter since he stopped striding at the plate.
