    I was trying to think who they could get on the cheap for TE2 and the best option who has been in BJ's offense is Smythe, but he is on Baltimore so he is unlikely to be gotten. Another option would be Brock Wright, but he is still with the Lions so that would not be likely either.

    Would love to know why Nico can’t seem to make contact with RISP anymore. It seems like that bat is the norm for him now when we need a hit or even just contact.

    I am so very happy to have been wrong about him. I was very concerned about how his Cubs career began for the first few months.

    It was the don't give up a homer sequence.

    Yes. Hoerner specifically sold out for power for a few months after his hot start with 4 homers early this year. Once he got back to not trying to lift the ball he went on a heater. It seems the past few weeks he is back to trying to do too much again. If he goes the other way with the pitch he grounded out on, he has a better chance of driving in the run. Have you also noticed his increased swing rate and higher strikeout rate?

    The two largest differences it seems are the Brewers bullpen and their hitters actually paying attention to situational hitting. They don’t always try to hit a homer with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.
