    I don’t think it has sailed as he has had nearly no real MLB at bats. I think he is opening day on the roster next year unless they find a taker for him this trade deadline who values him.

    Yeah PCA adds a lot with his defense and base running above Bryant who was no slouch. We will always have Bryant’s run of Golden Spikes, MILB POY, ROY, and MVP in 4 consecutive seasons which I doubt will happen ever again.

    I don’t get pinch hitting for Shaw. For Amaya and Swanson? Sure. But Shaw actually has been able to hit lately. Unlike Conforto who is 0 for his last 200.

    Right now, if Bregman. Swanson or Nico move out of the way of a pitch inside, they need to be fined $50k by the team.

    They should be alternating days off for Swanson and Nico with Ramirez playing every day right now.

    If the Cubs only had 2 or 3 problems right now, they could be ok. Problem is very little is working outside of PCA and Busch being above average. Cabrera has been a large disappointment and Bregman, FFS. His overall performance is not quite Candy Maldonado but should we even think to evoke that name for someone who gets $35M per year?
