    Well you take one of the two best bats out of the lineup early so you lose flexibility later in the game as well. Also, up 5-1 is a great time for him to get more ABs against lefties. It is short-sighted.

    Yes, however outside of April and May of last year, he is a below average hitter. He had a small resurgence at the end of the year, but track record suggests that catchers on the north side of 30 don't all of a sudden become good hitters if they haven't been in their whole career.

    Well it seems like Arias is a decent defender. I wonder if he is any relation to former Cub great Alex Arias.
