PCA passed 1998 Sosa like 2 weeks ago. 2001 Sosa is going to be a stretch, although maybe not much of one after today.

10th best offensive season all time as of this moment. Has a few Fergie seaons and a handful of deadball pitcher seasons in front of him as well. Passed 2003 Prior today.

People forget he wasn't just hitting 50-60 bombs, he had 100-160 RBIs, batted over .300, OPS was over 1.000 4 straight years, almost a 5th .993.  

He was insanely awesome

PCA passed it because of defense. I was quoting a post that seemed to be implying best offensive season in Cubs' history. PCA has a long way to go to reach that

Not to belabor this point, but 2001 Sosa had (per Fangraphs) a 78.8 "Batting and Base Running combined above average". PCA is currently at a 35.8. The difference is that Sosa's "Fielding and Positional Adjustment above average" was -1.1 while PCA's is 21.5

Exactly..  Sosa stopped stealing bases too, and though Sammy was a decent fielder and arm, theres no comparisons defensively.
