Truly. It's going to be sad when she quits Marquee and goes fulltime with national stuff

She's going to be doing college football very soon

dont see how that could be out of play.  the ball has to stay in the ivy hidden for the ground rule double to take affect.

Are you saying the 2016 defense graded out better by the metrics?  If so, that's wild.  Also, there's almost 2 months left so this team could conceivably get close to 35 fWAR.

FG has the 2016 Cubs as the best defensive team from 2016-2026, with 92.2....units*, I guess, of defensive value. We're currently at 39, which puts on pace for like...low 50s. It's a little weird, I don't know if it's shift related or what. Of the top 50 defensive teams from this century, only 1 is from this decade.

The 2016 defense was historically good.

Lost the series to an injury depleted Yankees 2-1. About to sweep the Dodgers 3-0.

Make it make sense.

Yea that's crazy, any bit of offense those 2 games and its an easy sweep.

Cubs schedule these next 7 games though,  theyll have a great opportunity to win 10 straight going into the next homestand against the Cardinals and Whitesox.

Those two are usually tough no matter how bad they are and this time the Sox are good.

Lost in the glory of this series is Happ being absolute trash. 0-5 with 3 K's this series. .144 average since the ASB with 22 K's

It’s probably too early to say and the 2016 squad did win the World Series, but how does PCA stack up vs the position players just isolated to 2016?

I understand that I could have worded that a lot better. 😞

Hed be the best outfielder of them all

Gotta say I did not expect the series to go this way when we were down 3-0 3 batters into the first game of the series

Is there a chance Happ is left off the playoff roster? He is absolute dogwater right now.

Probably not, but the question is, would Conforto and Taylor be better offensively then Happ if he continues to play this way

Cubs didn't score first in any of the 3 games.
