Holy horsefeathers. This idiot is FURIOUS that the Cubs are winning. Dontrell doing his best to help him dig up, mild respect.

Boog is 200% more impartial covering the Cubs than this horsefeathers is on a national telecast

I didn’t watch, but this strikes me as really strange. Wasn’t it Wayne Randazzo on the call? He’s from Chicago and grew up a Cubs fan.

Yes it was Randazzo. Dontrelle Willis annoyed me more than Randazzo. Willis likes to shake his head in agreement when there is nothing to even agree with. Very weird. He's like a bobblehead that won't stop bobbing his head.

Yeah I missed most of this. Going back and looking at the replays, I really dont have a problem with either send. The 2nd one in particular was a truly incredible feat by Pages getting in front of the ball and getting it in so quickly. Both plays were amazing defensively. I know Busch is slow but it took a 95 mph missile to get him.

What a win. Our lineup is absolutely mashing right now. I saw someone say Bregman has to get going before the homer. The guy is hitting 315/385/425 over his last 15 games. Theyre a dangerous group. Busch is picking it up. Its a fun ass lineup.

There were some extremely great defensive plays last night. Hoerner's relay from Seiya was primo. The carom off Busch that Hoerner caught bare handed way high up in the air while immediately firing to first to barely beat the runner was incredible. As good as those were, the Pages to Kim to Will Smith relay to get Happ might have been the play of the night. Pages knew he had to be quick and I might have to see it again, but it looked like he turned and winged it while off balance and in air for a perfect strike to Kim, and the throw from Kim was perfect. Absolutely the only way they get Happ. Probably a less than 5% chance of recording an out and 5% might be generous.

Noticed the park was basically empty when they showed a highlight. Cincinnati is supposed to be a baseball town and the team's in first place. WTF?

I've lived in Kentucky for over two decades now and the the closest MLB park for me is in Cincinnati (roughly a little over an hour's drive). I've made my way to the GAB many times, mostly to see the Cubs. It does not matter if the Reds are good or the Reds are bad, you can almost always buy a $10 (or so) ticket in the LF bleachers, wander for a hot minute and grab a lower level empty seat because the place has so many empty seats.

And it isn't as if it's a bad park (it's a nice field, though I don't love-love it) nor is it poorly situated to get in an out of.

What made this particular win satisfying is that our $362 million combined infield free agents Swanson and Bregman were the biggest contributors against the Dodgers of all teams.

Part of what makes that win so cool is that it was really a spectacularly played game on both ends. All those plays you mentioned were highlight reel level impressive.

Wow I did not get to see the game - IN REVIEWING IT - what a great bullpen performance, great D, and great clutch hitting.   LFG.

What a fun box score to wake up to this morning. Wow

Exactly, went to sleep in the 3rd thinking we probably ain't winning this one - pleasant surprise. Good for Dansby.

Anyone else notice the Dodger crowd seems to either have bad sight lines or a collectively poor depth perception as they burst into fairly loud reactions on even routine fly balls as if they are all leaving the park?

The team winning this game after Craig (correctly) waved the white flag with Rolison is diabolical.  If the Brewers had won this game we'd be shrieking.

To be fair, most Doyer fans started following the team at the beginning of this decade.

I'm not privy to the dynamics of the Dodger fan base, I do know everyone says the traffic to and from is horrific hence all the late arrivals and early departures.   Maybe Apple mikes up the crowd noise higher than most broadcasts making it seem louder?  But it jumped out at me how loud they would get on cans of corn.
