  1. What about Nico? Hes been damn near as bad. I actually think Nico might be hurt, though. I don't think i've ever seen him look this bad. His last at bat last night was pathetic. He swung at a ball two feet out of the zone that's not Nico like. I wish Shaw was a little more sound at SS. Because if he was, I would give him and Ramirez a lot of run over the next couple weeks.
  2. Tough getting picked off but seeing a cycle is so awesome.
  3. Im down, if you fire Jed first. Im not letting that twat anywhere near another rebuild. Sadly hes going nowhere.
  4. Scoring 5 runs in 2 games at Coors Field against a complete dogshit team should be an arrestable offense. Like someone from the Cubs should be legally held responsible for that.
  5. Is Ethan Conrad going to play this year? I love seeing Kane and Hartshorn killing it but imagine how much nicer it would be if the first rounder from that class could actually get on the field.
  6. I was stoked when they signed Bregman, no problem admitting it (I also really dont pay close attention to the mlb outside the cubs) But in hindsight, giving a guy a 5 year 175 million dollar deal when all those years are going to be outside of his physical prime (26-31 years old) is just insane. The Heyward deal was bad, but atleast he was only 26 when he signed. The Dansby deal is bad but he was atleast 29 with a few more years of conceivable prime left him. Bregman was/is 32...
  7. Right? Atleast he had a personality. Bregman seems as interesting and sociable as a wet carrot. I was at the game on Thursday and inbetween innings on the video board they had a cute segment with a bunch of kids asking Bregman questions and the guy couldn't have been more dry and awkward, everything was a one word answer with a goofy uncomfortable giggle. It was cringe as hell. This guy must really turn it on when the cameras are off.Because I have no idea how he could be considered a vocal leader.
  8. Yep. All I heard this offseason was how Bregman was this elite tone setter and culture builder. Well anytime now that he wants to display his locker room wizardry would be nice because this team is dead as horsefeathers and has been for weeks.
  9. Lol Shota throwing BP again. This team is so toast.
  10. Filling the seats just enough for Ricketts to keep counting his cash?
  11. Year 1 of the deal and Bregman kinda looks washed.... Which sounds like a crazy thing to say until you realize he's already 32. Not a dinosaur but old enough to where it's possible.
  12. Doubt it. Jed just got his extension. Even if this year ends in total disaster, he would at least get one more to try to turn it around ( probably 2)
  13. They are so far ahead as an organization its sickening.
  14. Yep. Hence why I feel stupid actually thinking he was decent at his job, even if it was for a short time. But nah, not falling for Theo's nepo baby again.
  15. Jed Hoyer is just so bad at his job, he tricked me into giving him some roses after last year's team when I trashed him for years, but nah.
  16. Jordan Wicks was god awful? Shocking. If he isn't hurt, hes bad.
  17. Remember when shutting down Wiggins was just a slight pre caution and they were just trying "new things" Lol I member.
