Right? Atleast he had a personality.
Bregman seems as interesting and sociable as a wet carrot.
I was at the game on Thursday and inbetween innings on the video board they had a cute segment with a bunch of kids asking Bregman questions and the guy couldn't have been more dry and awkward, everything was a one word answer with a goofy uncomfortable giggle. It was cringe as hell.
This guy must really turn it on when the cameras are off.Because I have no idea how he could be considered a vocal leader.
Yep.
All I heard this offseason was how Bregman was this elite tone setter and culture builder. Well anytime now that he wants to display his locker room wizardry would be nice because this team is dead as horsefeathers and has been for weeks.
Year 1 of the deal and Bregman kinda looks washed.... Which sounds like a crazy thing to say until you realize he's already 32. Not a dinosaur but old enough to where it's possible.
Yep.
Hence why I feel stupid actually thinking he was decent at his job, even if it was for a short time.
But nah, not falling for Theo's nepo baby again.
I understand its only been 2 months but the Bregman signing looks like horsefeathers. $35 million a year needs to produce wayyyy more than this. Plus I didn't realize hes already 32.
Swanson and Bregman are making a combined $63 million a year. About a 1/4 of the entire payroll.
Yikes.
Yeah, we have enough of a sample size now to show that Jed just isn't good enough. Hes decent, he can build a competitive team, but hes never getting you over the top. Sad thing is he is here for another 3+ years.
