This team will start to hit and when it does it's going of horsefeathers bury these Pirates, the Reds and the Cardinals.  I'd like to include the Brewers but, it seems everything they touch turns to gold*.

 

*I know it's the Brewers and all, still, taking a glance at their line up I don't know how they'll be able to maintain.  Besides Yelich, Turang and Conteras, it's bad on bad on bad.

How about that pen. 3 more scoreless today. 6 innings yesterday without an earned run. We only comment when the pen gives up a run. How about commenting when it does well.

I know it's only 3 games, but Martin has been great.

Not a bullpen talk, but I think Jamo did well.  Only the 3rd HR was real, without help from the wind.

Every team not the Dodgers or White Sox is within a couple games of each other

All three games against the Pirates were winnable.  Shota did no hitter, but we just couldn't score a run, even though there were plenty of chances.  Game2 was well, very winnable.  We could've been the top of the division, if we won those two.

Its really just LA. Second best record is 10-6 and the worst record is 6-10. At least so far, we don't have a 2025 Rockies (3-13, -46 RD), 2024 White Sox (2-14, -53 RD) or 2023 A's (3-13, -63 RD). White Sox have the worst RD so far and it's only -30. Took each of those three teams at least 28 games to get their 6th win of the season.

Conforto has been a pleasant surprise so far. The regulars have been a disappointment but the bench has been more of a strength than a weakness.
