Ah yes.  1 hit through 5 innings.  horsefeathers these guys.

Zero sense of urgency with these guys..

It crazy how the pitching is busting their assess every game but these hitters just look like theyre all ready for the offseason.

Fans are the consumers, in this bad, tortured analogy. If I buy a cheeseburger at McDonalds, do I have the right to boo or yell at the kid working the register for not hustling? I mean, my money pays his salary right? Or would that just make me an a bad person, hypothetically.

I guarantee you PapaCub has yelled at fast food workers with this exact justification in his mind

Peralta might as well throw middle middle fastballs the rest of the game

Teams should totally do that until the Cubs prove that they can hit one hard.

Disagree with JD here to some degree:

1. Less pressure for other guys. If Tuck is red hot, other guys can relax with less fear of failure because you know there's a monster lurking that can clean up your mistakes.

2. Yes, he creates more opportunities. That's exactly right. It puts pressure on the pitcher which results in an advantage for the batters.

I hear you. Tuck has been moping around for weeks. He's obviously cracking under pressure and it isn't pretty. Virtually no shot we re-sign him now. I've said all along that trade's juice wasn't worth the squeeze: Paredes and Smith were quite a bit to give up but as the season has worn on, I've come around to agree with some of the posters on here: at least Jed tried to make a big time move. 'A' for effort I suppose, but it looks like it won't work out how we hoped unless he comes out of his malaise.

I do appreciate your humor and retort lol - However, who ultimately pays for all of it pal? Fans do.
Owners have lots of money generated from ticket sales, merchandise sales, tv ratings etc (hope you’re able to follow where I’m headed here).
So - ever hear the phrase, “customer is always right?” Ownership wants to keep who happy ultimately? Guys that bring in money and how does that happen? That’s right my friend - the fans.

At least they forced Peralta to throw a lot of pitches in the 5th

Sounds like a moment that Crane will have immortalized with a bobblehead next season.

Maybe they should consult with season ticket holders before they make trades or signings? Is that your logic?

I mean....sure. Ownership should do things that keep the fans happy so that they give the owners money. You might find it hard to believe, but I have heard that phrase before. Anyways, what does that have to do with the fan/consumer booing someone on their own team?

Freddy Peralta should have just been left in and saved the bullpen

Nah they want to save his arm for games against teams that actually have the ability to do damage.
