I assume it's going to be Taillon, but have they said anything to confirm the game 2 starter for the Cubs?

tallion was not called up today. Assad went to Iowa, Luke Little called up and Gavin Hollowell will be the 27th man. Strange

Can they make a move between games? Like, they pitch Little in game 1, then send him down and call up Taillon?

I’m not sure they can send down Little after the first game, but they can send Brown down. That might be the move.

Dreaming big like a 5-0 or 4-1 series win, if only to put some pressure on the Brewers (who haven't felt any pressure for the past 3 weeks)

Tucker rolling over fastballs like Jason Heyward is another mystery that’s killing them.

Jed said on the score this morning that mechanical adjustments due to his finger injury have likely contributed to his poor hitting of late.

I heard that at least a week ago. I’m assuming they’re already in the process of fixing it if that’s the case.

3/5 I’d be content with. 2/5 is the same blah we’ve been watching for a month, 1 or less and there’s some serious problems.

true, but blah probably gets them into the playoffs

So he should've gone on the IL 2 weeks ago

But he was fine right after the injury right? Like, you can't just IL someone because they hit bad for a couple weeks.

That IS strange.  It appears from a quick check on Little that the control issues that forced his quick demotion earlier this year are still largely there.

I was wondering why it was Little over Hodge but seems like Hodge has had some control issues the last two times out (5 walks in 3 total innings). Cumulative for August, with those appearances, is 7.1 scoreless, 5 hits, 6 walks, 11 Ks.
