  1. Do they trade Hoerner because they don’t want to extend him or to replenish the farm ? If it’s because of financial restraints (rolling eyes) then I can’t see them letting Hoerner go and then signing Bregman or Bichette. Both, I would assume cost more than extending Nico.
  2. Careful, he’s almost 30. His playing days are coming to an end soon. Definitely should not extend one of the best 2B in the game at his age.
  3. So the focus is on 2032, Carter is that you?
  4. So to clarify, the Cubs need players who aren’t over the age of 30 because that’s just too old for a player to be playing baseball. In order for the Cubs to prosper, they need youth. Forget about everything else.
  5. True, let me rephrase… One of the dumbest posts I’ve ever seen.
  6. 😂😂😂😂 dumbest post I’ve ever seen.
  7. Sure I think they’ll add a SP or two. My guess would be Steele would replace one of the starters who’s struggling when he returns. Can’t have enough SP.
  8. Boyd had a very good season, I don’t think the Cubs reward his performance by sending him to the bullpen.
  9. It’s good to have momentum on the Cubs’ side going into the final game of this series. I feel like either Rea or Brown can start the game, Civale can give you a few innings too. I’m assuming all hands on deck. Put the pressure on the Brewers from the start by scoring first and keep it going. Really good feeling the Cubs can come out on top.
  10. Serious question, does next years team get to 90 wins w/o Tucker? Also, the offense hasn’t been the same since the first few months of the season. Is the team still favored to win 90 games if the offense produces like they have since the All Star break going into next year?
  11. Well then it’s a good thing I’m not in charge of the Cubs’ contract negotiations.
  12. If Nico was averaging 20 homeruns a season, 70-80 RBI’s, 30 steals to go along with his gold glove defense then I think he would get 5/100… IMO I think 7/100 right now would be a good deal for him (I’m no GM nor do I pretend to be one) I think that’s fair.
