A 10-15 day IL stint for a blister is probably about the best you could hope for in terms of managing his innings. Pulling him in the third inning of game one of a DH is less than ideal obviously.

If this season was going to be full of stupid horsefeathers like a pitching injury apocalypse and Tucker inexplicably morphing into Heyward and the offense all sucking at once, I wish it could've happened early rather than wasting time and energy on this.

But MLB is heading towards a lockout in 2027, so Jed strategically decided not to add any long-term money. Or something like that.
