Do big Z and Zobrist really hang out together?

There is no chance, but if they do I want to be a fly on the wall

The Z buddies, a new reality show featuring unlikely friends Carlos Zambrano and Ben Zobrist will be debuting on Marquee at the end of this ballgame.

Don't know how many old timers are here but, does anyone remember Mike Krukow throwing a complete game on 64 pitches?

I don't but I wouldn't doubt it: Mike was a good one. He had a similar career to Jon Lieber. Both pitched 14 seasons and both had right around 130 wins.

Don't why that popped into my head and I may be off on the pitch count but, it was a complete game on a low PC.

I've just never seen anything like what Dansby is doing this year. He's a actually a really good hitter with no one on, 122 wRC+ then becomes the worst hitter in the league with RISP 35 wRC+. It's completely baffling.

Maybe I've missed it along the way but anyone have any clue why Cade was striking out guys a bunch in the minors but is averaging like 6 K per 9 in the majors? Better competition? Working on his arsenal/pitch mix differently?

I really wish they would’ve worn throwback pullovers for tomorrow. I know it’s wasn’t logistically feasible, but it would’ve been cool.

It's even more bizarre than that because he legitimately gets plenty of swing and miss on strike 1 and 2, but for some reason not on strike 3.

It's been discussed a bit but for some reason he's not getting near as much whiff in 2 strike counts as he is in other counts.  The overall whiff rate is fine, just not there with 2 strikes and the general consensus is the strikeouts will come.
