The Cubs walk away with the division, winning 93 games.

Shaw hits well enough but there will be questions about his defense and power

Busch plays gold glove caliber 1st base but doesn't hit

Horton is the Cubs closer by the end of the season

The Cubs trade for Sandy Alcantara

The Reds finish in the Wild Card

(not bold) The Dodgers have a historic season and cruise to the WS win

Horton stays healthy all year and establishes himself as the Ace of the staff by years end

Shaw wins ROTY (maybe not that bold)

Michael Busch has a 30 HR season

The Cubs win 95 games and easily take the division

Jaxon Wiggins takes a major step forward with his command and control and is a key contributor down the stretch.

PCA becomes a 5.0 fwar outfielder and an all-star

Matt Shaw hits 24 home runs and wins NL ROTY

Shota is in the top 3 for NL Cy Young voting

Cubs win 94 games and are crowned NL Central champs

Dansby Swanson has a big offensive year, but WAR-wise it's a bit of a wash as big cracks start showing on defense

Matt Boyd ends up being a Steele/Shota caliber starter

One of the kids opening the year at Iowa ends up being a star caliber contributor in the 2nd half a la PCA last year

The team is multiple games under .500 on May 1st and vibes are rancid, but they go 5+ games over by June 1st and it's smooth-ish sailing from there

Yes, if they can have a decent April and May things could really start going. Their schedule is brutal.

Ben Brown and Cade Horton both end the season in the Cubs' bullpen, with Brown handling closing duties and Horton handling long relief outings to give the rotation a breather in August/September.

Javier Assad finishes the season in the Cubs' rotation, and most everyone's okay with it.

Dansby Swanson makes his third ASG in a row.

Matt Shaw gets a midseason callup and becomes the everyday 3B.

The Cubs lock up the NL Central by mid-September.

The Cubs make the NLCS, but fall short to the Dodgers in 6 games.

Yeah, I'm good.

Tater is the starting 3b come July.

All of Turner, Rea, Theilbar, Berti are released by August.

Dansby is popped for PEDs after another slow start, shaves his head and makes a conscious hip hop album tinged with reggae

Cam Smith has a better line than Shaw by the end of the year and goes on to have a dramatically better career

PCA gets down ballot MVP votes, very far down and very few, but more than one

Cubs are below .500 by the Trading Deadline and trade Tucker for a disappointing return, he stays in the NL and is second in MVP to Trout who is miraculously healthy all season and challenges for 70 Hrs

Another low 80s win season means Jed and Carter are both let go, neither position is filled until the Tuckers and Vladdys of the world are safely signed elsewhere. Who wants tot tell their new employee how cheap they are on day one?

oh, bother.

You guys are pretty high on this team….

To be fair it is titled bold predictions. If I predicted the Cubs would win 85- 88 games that is not a bold prediction. Or if I said Shaw will be an ok everyday third baseman, again, not exactly a bold prediction. Bold would indicate you have to predict something very good or very bad, that is not a likely outcome. Not surprised people choose to suggest good, except for chibear, which is also not a surprise. And again, in chibears defense he is just making a bold, albiet, negative prediction.

Kyle Tucker gets traded at the deadline,  is that bold enough 😅

The team would have horsefeathers themselves in the 1st half if they decided to trade Kyle Tucker lol.

Some chick no one has ever heard of will get a mid season call up.

A decision on who will be the Cubs first home game starter will be settled in the parking lot.

Cubs win every game they score the most runs.

I'm cheering for 100 wins and hoping for 95. I like this team's chances more than most. I'm also more homer than most.

Amaya will be an all-star

The back end of the bullpen will be a mess again.

Swanson will have a sub .650 OPS

Steele and Imanaga will both have rough seasons

Suzuki, Happ and Busch will have their best offensive seasons.

Shota and Steele both disappoint and each serves multiple phantom IL stints

Hoerner has a great season when he comes back from injury

Suzuki gets 30 bombs

Brewers win the division

PCA puts up 20HR, 35 doubles 10 triples and 60 sb.

Jaxon Wiggins finishes 2025 as the #1 prospect on the farm

James Triantos out performs Matt Shaw
