These stories come out a lot when the ship is foundering. It's not hard to think there is a grain of truth to every story. How much and how bad we don't know. But this is also a coaching problem if Caleb isn't "putting in the work".

One thing we do as sports fans is hear some unconfirmed rumor, say to ourselves 'well, I gotta take this with a grain of salt' and then utterly believe the entire thing

I still haven't even seen the report of the report, just you guys talking about it

Mully and Haugh were mentioning the report this morning, but I didn’t hear who they were referencing

I found this very sketchy unverified report.  Reading the article, the writer seems very anti-Caleb and wouldn't be surprised if they were a Fields truther.

Jaylon Johnson said that there were players that weren’t putting in the work on 670 the Score on Monday. He didn’t name names, but he definitely made it sound like there was a problem. Maybe that’s where this Bears Insider report took off from.

He did say that, but if we're being real, what he said is probably true for EVERY team.  There are always going to be some guys who work harder than others.  It's just that the Bears are bringing that to the forefront by openly talking about things that other teams typically don't.

I’m not necessarily believing the Caleb rumor but I did think it was kind of odd how he was never seen taking any notes when meeting with Flus on Hard Knocks. He didn’t seem all that interested either but that may just be his normal demeanor a la Cutler.

I find it real hard to believe that a rookie who's been given as much responsibility for sight adjustments and calls at the line isn't putting in the time to learn and understand those things.  If he wasn't, I have to imagine those responsibilities would have been taken away pretty quickly if he's making the wrong calls at the line because he hasn't studied enough.

Wasnt Jaylons specific example a guy leaving to pick up his daughter from school?  Obviously maybe there's other examples that Caleb could fall under.

But at the same time unverified reports love the most salacious rumors.  Caleb being the problem would generate the most clicks and attention so who knows if it's true click bait, actual truth, or some combo.

Between that and the "players asking for Bagent" report yesterday, it seems likely that there's a faction in the locker room that is anti-Williams, rightly or wrongly. Have fun fixing that on top of everything else wrong with this team.

yea, I wonder how much of this goes back to him being the #1 pick, replacing Fields, being the focus of Hard Knocks, etc and was lingering before the season collapsed. Did the team quit on him and cause the collapse, or was it Waldrons stupidty that caused the collapse and thats when these anti-Williams issues came to surface? I think it matters, becuase if Thomas can right the offesnse, it could slowly evaporate  and not be an issue by the end of the season

What notes is a QB going to take from Matt Eberflus?

I like him and I expect him to do well, but being a QB in the NFL doesn’t come easy to anyone. He didn’t do Waldron many favors the last few weeks, so hopefully this week is a wakeup call for Caleb too.

At this point its pretty much expected mid-week news:

Man I really hope he can recover fully for the sake of his own long term well-being

Bryce Young has thrown for 300+ yards in his career exactly one time so far.  Against the Packers last season.

Bryce Young has thrown more than 1 TD in a game three times in his career, but only once without also throwing 2 INTs (he threw 3 TDs). Against the Packers last season.

Bryce Young's highest Y/A in his career is 8.7. Against the Packers last season.

Who was Carolina's OC last season?

Thomas Brown for the last few games

I mean, I expect the Bears offense to improve somewhat because its almost impossible for it to get worse. But I also expect the Packers to put about 45 on the Bears.

I will not be watching this game.

I appreciate the attempt to give us hope.  And, I wish it were only football related problems i.e., this or that play isn't working, etc.  But, the Bears appear to be one giant cluster-horsefeathers right now with problems beyond the football field being "run" be a spinless idiot.
